The Festival of Seeds is tomorrow! You can feel the excitement in the air, palpable and fresh like the air after a storm. Everyone in Bundimor is doing their part getting ready for the big day. Banners hang from places of business, strings of pendants crisscross the air between buildings, and you can’t turn anywhere without seeing bouquets of flowers and decorative ceramic eggs all arranged next to building entrances. The whiff of fresh-baking bread and slow-cooking meats mingle into a mouthwatering aroma that permeates downtown.

Having just clocked out of work at the sawmill, you head to the Azure Cups, your favorite local tavern. Overlooking Lake Bundimor, the tavern has a delightful open-air terrace where you often relax with your friends. After ordering your favorite drink, you take a seat and admire the glittering water and the late-afternoon atmosphere. The trellises around the courtyard’s perimeter are finally beginning to bloom with jasmine and honeysuckle.

“Oy, there you are!” Bruno, your dwarven friend with a broad build and loud personality to match, plops down next to you with a tankard of his favorite ale. Jack hops up a moment later – your kleppin friend has the features of a rabbit – and takes the chair on your other side. Last but not least, your elderly human friend, the librarian, takes his seat, smoking on a hickory pipe. He insists on being called Bandalf the Beige, and swears that he used to be a heroic adventurer.

“Glad to be done with the day,” Jack says. “And the Festival of Seeds is tomorrow! What are you most excited for?”
