Project Update: How are our goblins different ?
Hello Gamer Family,
We wanted to explain some of the book's early concepts. After playing and Judging/DMing countless sessions, we wanted to create a new twist on the classic goblin in this campaign.
We wanted to explain some of the book's early concepts. After playing and Judging/DMing countless sessions, we wanted to create a new twist on the classic goblin in this campaign.
All goblins are innately magical due to the connection with the original goblin essence, The First King. They start life as a welp and are born in brood pools, not knowing who their parents are. Once a year, each brood of goblins embarks on a journey from the current goblin king. After returning from this perilous task, they may become adults. Through secret rituals, they transform into a goblin archetype, gaining magic and special abilities.
In short we took from folklore and fantasy to making them special. During the ritual that that take to become adults this innate magic essence from The First King springs forth in random ways creating a unique goblin to take up the mantle of adulthood. Come join us and create your goblin and conquer the lands of light and man!
