Project Update: 48 hours till the apocalypse ✟



With just 48 hours left til Sisterhood launches we wanted to dive into some of the main themes. Obviously kicking evil where it deserves to be kicked is key to the premise but at its core Sisterhood is about collaboration, belonging, and the faith in doing what is right.

We wanted to build a game about community, where working together was a crucial component for survival (in game) and fun (out of game). 

All these different people, coming together under one banner, with only hope and faith to guide them - it felt like we were building something special. Something that we wished actually existed in the exact way it does in our fantasy world.


The order that our kick-ass nuns belong to is an original creation, not tied to or inspired by any existing orders or convents. It’s a totally clandestine organisation, acting without the direct control of governing religious or political bodies. This helped free up both our and our players' storytelling potential, but also helped create that feeling of being bad while doing good. These aren’t the kind of nuns you’ll find chirping on the Alps - more likely they’ll be skiing down them, gun and crucifix in hand, chasing down fiendish foes.

We don’t see our game as “nunsploitation” exactly, more like “nun-noir-fantasy”. It’s a safe space to play in, a black and white world where we can all overcome the problems that face us, and the world, together.
