Project Update: SHIVER Classified Fully Funded in 4 Hours
Funding goal neutralised!
Well it looks like we've got a bumper crop of recruits for the agency this season! A quick in and out, mission complete and home in time for dinner kind of cohort. 4 hours is quite the pace.
But seriously, thanks so much again from all of us at Parable Games for supporting us once more with another SHIVER launch. We're so happy to be able to keep growing and adding to this utterly bonkers world we've created and are thrilled that you all love playing in it!
For those who haven't joined the fray yet, fear not L.A.N.C.E. is still accepting recruits.

Project Update: Dive Dive Dive ⚓️
Evil corporations, experiments nuclear submarines, now we're talking secret agent stories! The Ancient Aquanaut sees our L.A.N.C.E. agents investigating one of the biggest barriers to keeping the world safe. Cornwell Consolidated, corporate evil-doers of the highest order.
Cornwell's new experimental submarine was exploring the deep sea looking for, well we're not quite sure. But they brought something on board. Something they should have left alone. Now it's all gone wrong. L.A.N.C.E. has the black box data, but what truly happened on that sub?
This story can be approached in many ways. As the poor Cornwell employees on the submarine and uncover the truth as it unfolds. Or perhaps as L.A.N.C.E. agents who find the wreckage and whatever still lies within.

Project Update: This time it isn't Ratmen in the sewers 🐀
There used to be another borough of London. One that has been forgotten, intentionally. Arkenbury was hotbed of supernatural activity. A part of London where so many events occurred that L.A.N.C.E. has an entire wing of its library dedicated to reports on it.
Smog under London is one of these reports. A thick miasma is coming out of the sewers and poisoning the inhabitants of Arkenbury. The cause is something even worse than industrial pollution as a result of aggressive capitalism: A Metaphor about industrial pollution as a result of aggressive capitalism.
Cultists are up to no good in the Victorian sewer system, and whatever it is they're doing, L.A.N.C.E. agents need to stop it before the Smog consumers Arkenbury, London, or even the whole world...

Project Update: Who hangs the Hangman? 🪓
The Hangman was a character created almost by accident. The slasher is inspired by a piece of art from the SHIVER Core Book which never had any story attached to it. We wanted to give this hulking horror some background and that's what this story in Agents of Lance does.
The Hangman is a cross between a Whodunnit and a traditional Slasher story. Set Yorkshire in the 1950's in the town of Roost (where everyone knows everyone) who have a strange tradition. A celebration of one of England's last Hangmen.
L.A.N.C.E. agents are responding to a mysterious invite from 'The Hangman' and quickly find themselves embroiled in deaths and disappearances as the Hagman festival approaches. Its up to them to find the culprit and determine if something supernatural is afoot, or if someone has gotten a little too big for their noose.

Project Update: Prom, the bloodiest night of your life? 🌹
Prom, a strange foreign institution to us Brits. The subject of much teenage angst and many the culmination of movies good and bad. The Killer Queen follows a L.A.N.C.E. agent undercover as part of a film crew shooting a movie at an abandoned high school.
The script however, cuts a bit close to home. Based on real events, events that were part of an old L.A.N.C.E. case which was never satisfactorily closed. The murder spree by one girl of her entire graduating class back in the 60's.
Unsurprisingly, dredging up the past like this isn't going to go well for our poor film crew. But it's up to our agents to determine the what's causing this. Is it a demon, spirit, or just a person who'd been driven over the edge by this strange coming of age tradition?
