Project Update: Wecome Aboard - Manuscript Preview #1
My name is James, and I’ll be your Onyx Path Crowdfunding Concierge for this fun new project - Alchemicals: Forged by the Machine God, the latest fatsplat for the Exalted Third Edition tabletop roleplaying game. I’ll be updating the campaign as we go, sharing the draft mansucript previews, answering questions, and providing support wherever needed as best I can.
I’ll note that I’m not part of the creative team on this project – so I won’t be able to immediately answer some of the more intricate rules or design inquiries – but having me manage this Crowdfunding campaign allows Danielle and the Exalted Crew to keep their focus on the awesome projects that they’ve got in the works.
Some quick things to note before we get into the manuscript.
Shipping Costs will be Collected in the Pledge Manager
The best we can do at this point is to plan carefully, advise everyone up front that international shipping will likely be expensive (see our projections on the main page) and only charge what it costs us when the time comes. We’ll be charging for shipping in the Pledge Manager once the books are being printed and we can deal with the actual shipping charges rather than using our best-guesses this far out. If you live outside the US and aren't sure you want the hardcover or other physical items, you can pledge to the PDF tier now and upgrade your pledge in the Pledge Manager once we know the final shipping costs.
Draft Manuscript Previews
Because they want your feedback! These manuscript previews are of the current draft manuscript – the document in its latest, approved form. This may not be the final form after editing and any additional development, but you can consider it about 95% finished, so keep that in mind.
You can use this Feedback Form to share your thoughts directly with the Exalted creative team to help guide them through the next rounds of development and editing.
DRAFT MANUSCRIPT PREVIEWS - BACKERS ONLY

Project Update: Alchemical Attraction!
Wow, that was quicksilver fast! Working together, the fans of Exalted Third Edition have combined forces into one big funding machine... and this campaign is now successfully FUNDED!
Thanks to your support, Alchemicals: Forged by the Machine God has been funded and will get a fully-developed PDF and deluxe hardcover release. I'd better update my avatar in celebration.
This happened a lot faster than I'd expected. With a lot of distractions lately and a few hiccups as we approached our launch, I thought we might have a quieter start, but I should have really expected the BOOM and rapid take off. So I may not have my Stretch Goal graphics quite ready, but I'll use some text placeholders and update as we go.
Because we're not done now that we've hit our funding target! It's time to add more options, mark some milestones, and build a bonus reward!
As we increase the overall funding and support for the project, we’re able to add additional resources to the project, expand the rewards listed, and add in new offers and opportunities. Each Stretch Goal will have a target that, once reached, will add a project to the reward list for backers of the relevant Stretch Goal path.
At $40,000 in Funding - New Add On: Alchemicals Storyteller Screen - A three-panel Storyteller Reference Screen with charts and information for running an Alchemicals game will be created and offered as an Add On to any hardcover reward tiers for +$25.
Starting at $50,000 in Funding, a new Alchemicals supplement will be added as a bonus reward to all backers receiving the Alchemicals: Forged by the Machine God PDF as one of their pledge rewards. This Alchemicals Companion PDF will be expanded via Stretch Goal achievement.
At $50,000 in Funding - ALCHEMICALS COMPANION: The Lost City of Tekun
The first section to be added to our Alchemicals Companion PDF supplement will be the Lost City of Tekun. The disappearance of the metropolis Tekun is a mystery to the Eight Nations — but now, the truth is revealed. Cast though the Seal of Eight Divinities, the lost city has survived deep in the vast underground caverns of Creation. Its people still preserve the Octet’s culture and faith despite their isolation from the Machine God, a flickering light of hope amidst the many perils of the deep.
At $60,000 in Funding - ALCHEMICALS COMPANION: The Forge of Legends
Additional Storyteller advice and plot hooks for Alchemical campaigns, whether in Autochthonia or Creation.
At $70,000 in Funding - ALCHEMICALS COMPANION: Beyond the Eight Nations
An expansion of Autochthonia’s reaches and those who dwell within: tunnel folk societies, Alchemical outcasts, and gruesome horrors born of the Blight.
We're just at the start of this campaign and already off to a stellar start! I'll get some graphics sorted over the next few days as we work on these Stretch Goals! Please remember to share word of this campaign in your social circles and on your social media, and let's see if we can't unlock that screen within the first 24 hours!
Thanks again for your support! I love to see the community come together and be excited, and really looking forward to these next 4 weeks!

Thank you James Bell for always doing such a great job on these campaigns! Since I would imagine we will have a stretch goal for backer shirts, would it be possible to have the timeframe to get one printed to be longer than a week this go round? (I unfortunately missed the notification for the last campaign.)
