I sent an email along with filling out the strange survey, but I haven't received any notice that they have seen it or anything. Granted, I requested a refund or more than one collaboration pin (as I love foxes), so maybe they weren't expecting to respond to people and expected them to just chose what they wanted in the survey and email... but if they put so much emphasis on the email, surely they were going to respond as promised on the survey?? So just wondering if anyone else has tried to contact and heard anything back from them? They just sent out an update earlier for their new campaign, but surely they should focus on fulfilling this one and handle customer complaints first, yeah?

Project Update: Fulfillment Update!

Hello, Book Monster Pin Backers!

First and foremost: my HUGE apologies for not having sent out updates sooner! 

Almost as soon as the campaign ended, my daughter—the designer of most of these Book Monster Pins—was diagnosed with a tumor in her upper jaw.

Cue a terrifying round of doctor and surgeon visits over the summer…

Eventually, we discovered that what was in her jaw was not, in fact, a tumor, but an extra wisdom tooth growing up into her sinus—and that it needed to be removed soon. 

That prompted a new round of doctors and finally, two weeks ago, surgery to remove that tooth and (as long as she was there) the rest of her wisdom teeth, too.

She’s just about recovered from the surgery—she still has some swelling, but she’s no longer in pain—and we are finally able to switch our focus to catching up on everything …like fulfilling this campaign! Here's what we have so far:

  • We will finally be sending out surveys this weekend. 

  • All stickers and bonuses will go out mid-to-late September.

  • Final pin delivery will depend on when they are delivered to us—but we will let you know as soon as we have that pinned down (pun utterly intended!).

I've messaged Backerkit Support about the creator in order to see if they can contact them in a way we can't. Here is the message Backerkit Support sent back a few days ago. "Thank you for reaching out to BackerKit Backer Support, although I'm sorry to hear about the lack of communication! I've reached out to the project team to ask for an update. I'll circle back with you as soon as I hear back from them! Thank you for your patience in the meantime," I know it's not much but its at least on their radar as an issue. I'll let you guys know if I get anything else from them.
