Project Update: How long is 'Full Length' adventure in your book?
Hi there
I'm doing some research on adventure writing and would like to hear from you about what your ideal 'Full Length' adventure is. Do you get bored with an adventure after three sessions? Do you want it to take at least five sessions or so?

Thank you!

Question is: how long is "a session"? When I was younger (way younger...) a session could be something from like 5 hours (saturday afternoon sessions) up to like 10 hours (saturday to sunday all-nighters, my favorites). These days, it's mostly 3 to 4 hour sessions. Anyway let's not weep on good days long past, my answer would be "At least five" based on current timeboxing (3 to 4 hours).
Oh I feel you. Today a session seems to be around 3 to 4 hours indeed. For most parties at least.

Length is a tough guide - but for me a "full length" adventure has different strands, threads they can follow so it doesn't feel railroaded, maybe more than one thing to do (almost like side-quests). So it's as much the depth of the story as the length
Thanks for the comment, that makes a ton of sense!
