Project Update: Moonbeam + Gen Con Week!
Hello, friends of Moonbeam. It’s Anthony! I’ve had a busy, fun-filled week in Florida visiting family and friends. While I was down here, I also met up with part of the Moonbeam team (right now, we all work remotely), and we discussed the bright future of Moonbeam together! Seriously, the team is excited beyond belief about the next steps we’ll take with Moonbeam, thanks to you and your support!
Tomorrow morning, I fly back home and then immediately get on a plane to go to Gen Con! I’ll be there all week, so if you see me, say hello!
I wanted to give you all a few updates:
- Our Stretch Goal poll closes July 30th at 11:59 pm PDT, so make sure you vote if you haven’t. The poll is included at the end of this update for you to easily vote in it. We’ll discuss the results once the poll closes!
- Christopher Hutton from The Fandomentals covered Moonbeam, check out his article HERE.
Lastly, when we began this journey over 18 months ago, we knew that we could not only challenge the dominant live streaming platforms in the space but also completely reimagine what it means to be a live streaming platform. I’m excited to say that we are on this path, you are part of the live streaming revolution, and recent news that came out today validates the need for this fundamental change in the live streaming space. Below are a few recent articles that validate the need for a new live streaming platform with innovative solutions. You are helping Moonbeam create a new type of live streaming platform to help solve many of the problems the live streaming community is currently facing. For this, we thank you!
We want creators and communities to thrive on any platform they can, including the ones that exist now! In an ideal world, many platforms would allow creators and fans to thrive and grow. We decided to create Moonbeam because we felt this wasn’t happening, and all our solutions to these problems exist because we want to use new technologies and techniques to help creators and their communities succeed.
