Cute little board filler mini pins, Chinese zodiac edition! These will all be hard enamel, black plated, and approximately 3/4" at the widest dimension. Illustrated to exist individually as just a cute critter; or a full set as a chibi series!
Hello! My name is Melissa, and I'm the artist/owner behind Mimosa Studio.
I love designing board filler pins / mini pins, so I decided it was time to revisit my Chinese zodiac designs as much simpler and smaller!
The full funding goal for all 14 enamel pins (main 12 + 1 freebie + 1 cross-collab freebie) is $2500, but I have the Backerkit goal at a reduced amount of $1000 with plans to self fund the rest, in order to have every design unlocked from the beginning.
The survey at the end of the campaign will go over which pins you are backing for. Due to the collaboration part of this series with a freebie for every backer that backs both my campaign and Dragons and Beasties', the minimum amount backed for is 3 pins.
The pins will be available in black plated for the main campaign, with gold plated as an add-on separately.
These will be around 3/4", but not over 1", depending on how small I can go without losing a lot of detail.
Pin tiers start at three pins, in which you will select the pins that you want on the survey that will go out at the end of the campaign.
Shipping will be charged on the survey after the end of the campaign, based on the amount backed for.
Freebie Pin
For anyone that backs for all 12 mini enamel pins, you will receive the kitty laying down as a freebie! The cat is also available as an option in the smaller tiers, which will be on the survey after the campaign ends to select your rewards.
Packaging
To reduce the amount of paper/packaging/cardstock, the pins will either be punched onto one large backing card, or inside of a thank you card.
If you intended for some to be gifts or shared, there will be a question on the survey if you would prefer for them to be on single backing cards instead.
ABOUT PINTOPIA — this is a celebration of creativity and collaboration from a diverse group of over 175 creators collectively launching their pin and/or plushie project on BackerKit from January 23rd - February 13.
Freebie Cross-Collaboration Pins — Some Pintopia creators have paired up with a fellow participant to create two unique pin designs. If BOTH projects that have paired up reach their initial funding goal, backers who support BOTH will get the TWO [2] cross-collab pins for FREE! One from each creator.
If you back eligible pin tiers from both my campaign, and Dragons and Beasties campaign (and if we both reach funding goal), then you'll receive TWO FREE PINS!
Their freebie pin will be 1.75" and my freebie pin will end up being 1"-1.25" depending on the detail I can get.
Due to the hand made nature of enamel pins, most will have very minor cosmetic flaws; such as surface scratches, spots, and uneven enamel:
A Grade/Collector - very minor cosmetic flaws, if any
B Grade/Standard - minor cosmetic flaws. This could include possible low fill and specks in the enamel, metal plating discolorations, and/or scratches, etc.
C Grade (Seconds) - noticeable cosmetic flaws that can be seen when looking straight at the pin. This can include spots, holes, low fill, overfill, scratches, small sections missing enamel, and other flaws.
D Grade (Seconds) - very noticeable cosmetic flaws, that can be seen when looking straight at the pin. This can include spots, holes, low fill, overfill, scratches, small sections missing enamel, and other flaws.
F Grade (Unsellable) - large areas of missing enamel, severe gouges, posts missing, etc
These pins will be loosely graded, in which you might receive either A or B grade (not C or D), to help with the speed of fulfillment.
I will also have a limited amount of discounted C/D Grade Seconds mystery bundles as a tier as I typically receive a few of those each order. In the event that the quality is better than intended and I don't have many C or D grades, these will automatically be upgraded to whichever grade I have on hand!
Shipping will be calculated and charged after the campaign in the pledge manager survey!
Enamel Pin Tiers(US)- will ship as a ground advantage package through USPS, and cost an additional $5 postage if nothing else is added on for shipping within the US.
Enamel Pin Tiers(International: Canada, Switzerland, New Zealand, & Australia Only)- will cost an additional $12 if nothing else is added on.
Postage is weight based, and will only cost more than the above amounts if additional add-ons are selected either in the campaign, or during the post campaign survey.
Additional items will be available in the add-ons section! This includes individual pins, waterproof sticker sheets, individual waterproof stickers, and gold plated variants.
Enamel pins have a lot of variation between the mock up stages to the final product; from colors not matching, defects in the enamel surface, shipping delays, etc. There's always the risk that something will go wrong during the manufacturing process.
In the event that anything happens, I will make sure to send updates to all of the backers so everyone is aware of any delays.
I will begin shipping to backers immediately after quality control checks, but depending on how many pledges come in will determine how quickly I can handle everything.
Please be aware of your country's import taxes and custom fees before backing this project. The buyer is responsible for paying those costs, and if you are not prepared to do so then your package may be returned to me. I will not reship unless the full shipping costs of sending them out a second time are covered, and if a refund is requested then it will only be for the product amount and not the shipping costs already spent.
