THE DREAMGOD'S IDOL

The Dreamgod's Idol is an old-school 1st level DCC-compatible adventure.  Hiwiski the Dream God slumbers still, calling through the dreamland for champions to save her!

Hired by Afuri Milespan, occultist and merchant, the adventurers delve into a flooded tunnel system to retrieve a sorcerous four-armed silver idol. Within the desecrated fane they'll encounter the restless dead, obscura dévorer, vile cultists of Miijul the Dream-Eater, and more.

  • 16 unique dungeon areas
  • New, dangerous magic items
  • Wicked cryptids, creatures, and foes
  • Cunning and dangerous traps
  • Combat, exploration, and social interaction

We're releasing The Dreamgod's Idol in both PDF and print. Unlike our other Menagerie Press projects, we're handling print and fulfillment ourselves. We're also offering the Menagerie Press PDF and print bundles as options.

ADVENTURE PREVIEW

The Dreamgod's Idol is finished and edited. It will be available in PDF and print. We plan on using the same printer that Goodman Games recommends. Print copies will be shipped via media mail (US addresses only) to make our logistics easier. International backers who order physical prints will receive at-cost print-on-demand copies, printed and fulfilled via DriveThruRPG.

WHAT IS DCC RPG?

Dungeon Crawl Classics, or DCC RPG, is a fast-paced, open-feeling rules set allowing for epic game experiences without unnecessary tethers. It uses modern game-play while paying homage to the origins of role-playing and the fun that it inspired.

COLLABORATION

Menagerie Press is collaborating with Monster Mage Games!

Monster Mage is releasing Dark Vermin, a tightly focused Shadowdark supplement about giant vermin. Dark Vermin is a 32-page book with 10 monsters, a mini adventure with maps, and paper tokens, illustrated in an OSR style.

If you back both Dreamgod's Idol and Dark Vermin, you'll get something extra from each of us:

FULFILLMENT

For US backers, we are printing and shipping The Dreamgod's Idol ourselves. This marks our first foray into handling our own logistics, and we're doing our best to get it right. For international backers, we're using DriveThruRPG for at-cost print-on-demand printing and shipping (see FAQ).

PDF and print-on-demand copies are fulfilled by DriveThruRPG. Backers receive a one-time code for PDF and/or print-on-demand (POD) copies. POD backers are responsible for a small printing and shipping fee, and DriveThruRPG prints and ships their books. This is the most cost-efficient method to get print copies to our backers.

The book costs are approx. $5-10 + shipping per book for books in the USA. This is collected by DriveThruRPG per book for printing (the actual price depends on the final page count). Each book retails for $14.99 + shipping or more, so you save by backing us on BackerKit.

Additional costs may be incurred from customers in the EU or customers impacted by UK shipping tariffs. Please check with your local post offices, as these situations vary by region and package details.
