Children of Eldair launched in 2012 as a humble little webcomic on its own website. Since then, it has been consistently updating and growing as a comic and as a community. Since 2012 Eldair has gained over 150,000 subscribers on Webtoons alone, has over 10 million views, and funded and fulfilled 4 graphic novel Kickstarter Campaigns. The reader response has been incredible, and I’m excited to finally launch the highly anticipated fifth book!
Edit
This project aims to fund the printing and shipping of the fantasy isekai comic: Children of Eldair book 5. This book features 180 full color comic pages and art. As we grow in funding, I will add content to this book including extra side comics and concept art. I am going all out to make this book as beautiful as possible!

Missed out on books 1 through 4? No worries, you can grab any previous book during this campaign!

Edit

I know backing a creator can be risky because you don't know if they are going to fulfill. However, I've run and fulfilled 13 different campaigns for myself and my clients with very happy backers. So rest assured, if you back my campaign, you'll get your reward!

Embera should be dead when Koe finds her unconscious and wounded in the wildlands of Eldair. Who she is and how she got there remains a mystery even after she finally awakens from a strange enchanted sleep. Koe can only guess what the quiet, scared, and damaged Embera has been through until he is suddenly pulled into a vision that takes him on an adventure across time and worlds.

Turns out Embera isn’t from Eldair at all. Nearly a year ago she was about to graduate high school when she and her two friends, Iva and Indri, were stolen from their world by a fairy. On their journey to find a way back home, they face many dangers, including unknown magic, an oncoming war between races, and the threat of flesh-eating demons.

In book five of this series, Embera, Indri, and Iva are trapped in the city of Sever, separated from after their group was attacked. Clueless as to the whereabouts of their friends, and their important mission to warn the elves of the flesh-eating demons interrupted, they must endure unique hardships as they look for each other in a strange, new place. But their investigations raise more questions than they answer. The city of Sever is full of secrets and magic, as well as new friends and foes. Will they be able to find their friends and continue their quest to warn the world of the demons? And will the secrets in Sever help them find their way home?

This book is the fifth of the Eldair series and collects chapters twenty-one through twenty-five. It continues the second arc of this fantasy adventure comic.

There are lots of amazing add-ons for this campaign, including all the previous books as well as original custom art options!

For the first time ever, I'm offering the first five chapters of Eldair in a multimedia form! This immersive version of Eldair first appeared on StoryCo with voice acting, music, and animation. As part of this campaign, I'm offering the first 5 chapters as digital downloads so you can watch the story offline. You can check out Eldair on StoryCo here.

There are also chances to get some original art, either as a bookplate or a drawing on toned paper. These add-ons are limited, so be sure to pledge soon to snag one of these rewards!

I'm also offering a number of metal bookmark designs that all measure 4x8 inches on shiny aluminum metal. These bookmarks are beautiful!

I also have some fun merch, including these two enamel pins of Embera as the sun and Koe as the moon. I'm also offering an all-new acrylic standee design for this campaign that will measure 8 inches tall!

There's also a beautiful comic-book sized metal art print of Indri from the cover of book 5 which will come signed by me as well as a bookplate. A bookplate is an oversized sticker that you can place on the inside cover of your book and write your name on so whoever opens the book knows who it belongs to.

A Note about Signatures:
If you would like to add a signature to your book outside of the standard pledge levels, that will be an option after the campaign during the survey for $5 per signature.
Edit

As we hit higher funding amounts, we will be unlocking stretch goals! These stretch goals include free extras such upgrades to the book, bonus goodies in your package like stickers and prints, or unlock extra add-on merch that you can add to your reward at a discounted price.

Hi, my name is Jemma Young - the creator and artist for "Children of Eldair." I grew up on a small farm in Utah and have been drawing comics since I was about eight. I loved drawing comics so much that when I was in junior high, my friends and I created an all-girls comic team and posted our work online for anyone to see. Even after we went our own ways, I continued to draw and create stories for fun. During my second year in college, I was a part of TokyoPop's Pilot Program - which sought out new talented comic writers and artists and published them online. I did the penciling, inking, toning, and lettering for the first chapter of "Mom's Best Friend."

In 2011, I decided to do the first sixteen pages of "Children of Eldair" for my senior project. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to turn it into a webcomic which has been running for a decade with over 600 pages of content and over 150,000 subscribers online. I also work on my fancomic “Zelda’s Lullaby” and other comic projects. Since graduating college I've done freelance illustration, kickstarter consulting, and other cool creative projects.

Shipping will be charged after the campaign has ended via Backerkit. This is to ensure that I can accurately calculate shipping costs based on your reward and any add-ons you might have. This reduces shipping costs for everyone in the long run.

Here’s a general breakdown on how much you can expect to pay for shipping based on the weight of your pledge. I have added estimated weights and shipping costs to all add-ons and pledge levels, so if you add those all up you should have a decent idea of how much shipping will cost.

International Shipments: Please make sure you are aware of your VAT tax, tariffs, and customs for your country! Every country is different so we can’t estimate how much these extra fees will cost. We also declare the full value of your shipment on the Customs forms. We will be shipping with USPS to cut down on handling fees from Fedex and UPS.

Other Ways You Can Help

While I appreciate financial support, I understand that not everyone is in a place to pledge. But that’s not the only way you can support Eldair! Sharing this comic with friends and family is a great way to help. Follow me on social media such as Instagram and Twitter, and like, share, and commenting helps me get past gate-keeping algorithms and expand my reach. The more Eldair lovers there are out there, the more likely we are to hit our goals and create more content!

Thank you for checking out Children of Eldair. It’s because of people like you that these sorts of projects get to become a reality! I hope that you will help make this book real by pledging to this campaign!
