My free Sugar Skull mini pin to you for backing my campaign!
For my mini pin, I chose a Calavera de Azucar/Sugar Skull 💀💖 This mini pin will be about 1" in size in rainbow metal, white enamel fill and clear epoxy fill to give it that hard enamel finish 🌈💖💀✨
Sugar Skulls are placed on Ofrendas (or altars) as offerings and they often have the names of the deceased written on them. The Sugar Skulls represent both the life of the departed and the acceptance of death as a part of life.

Alebrijes: The Alebrijes are spirit guides, as they were depicted in the 20-day cycle of the Zapotec calendar. Being strongly connected with nature, the Aztec people created these symbolic creatures mixing two living animals with anthropomorphic characteristics. The word Alebrije means “imaginary” or “fantasy,” and they are often used as decorative figures during Día de los Muertos. They are thought to represent a blend of dreams and reality, and they symbolize creativity and imagination
Xolo dog: The Xoloitzcuintli, or Xolo dog, is an ancient breed believed to be a guide for souls in the afterlife. Revered by the Aztecs, Toltecs, and other pre-Columbian cultures, these dogs were often buried with their owners to help them navigate the journey to Mictlan, the underworld. They are considered sacred and embody the connection between the living and the dead, representing loyalty, protection, and spiritual guidance. Xolo dogs were named after Xólotl, the Aztec God of Death and Fire.
Mictecacihuatl & Mictlantecuhtli: Aztec Duo of the Underworld. Mictecacihuatl, the Lady of the Dead, and Mictlantecuhtli, the Lord of the Underworld, are the dual deities ruling over Mictlan, the realm of the dead in Aztec mythology. Mictecacihuatl is often depicted as a skeletal figure who watches over the bones of the dead, while Mictlantecuhtli represents death and the underworld’s power. Together, they symbolize the cycle of life and death, overseeing the souls that journey through the afterlife and ensuring that the dead are honored and remembered.

Unlocking these goals through Backerkit will help alleviate any costs at the end of the campaign, so be sure to add all the pins you want to back and explore the "Add-ons" page!

Hello there! :) I'm Jess also known as JBlake Design at anime conventions / @jbzydraws online! I'm a Chicana artist born in Oakland, California and now living in the Midwest area where I do most of my conventions at! I run my Etsy Shop here and I create lots of unique fanart and dark original art! This will be my fourth crowdfunding campaign including my successful "Halloween Township" ita bag/enamel pin campaigns on both Kickstarter/Backerkit, my "dumb bitch juice" keychain preorder campaign that reached all across the US and several countries worldwide, and my latest Pintopia "Femme Fatale" campaign! I have a lot of experience organizing large pre-order/crowdfunding campaigns and I cannot wait to bring this new enamel pin project to life with you all! :)
