Project Update: The Party is In Production Phase!!
Hello Partygoers! 🕵️♀️ Sylphy here with a small update for you on the status of our books! Currently the majority of the first wave of content review has been completed, and we're working on the little bits and extras in our production design. Which means mostly spellchecking, organizing the complementing design layout that fits all the different styles of our cooperating artists together, and drafting a table of contents that sets the mood for the stories you pick to read first. We want to make sure that aesthetically the book feels complete!
Once everything looks to be finalized, we'll be giving it another beta lookover to make sure that nothing is typoed or missing a vowel -- and then it'll be on to printing proofs. The proof prints are for us to make sure the printing looks clear and has no visual artefacting from the files, that all the typeface is legible, and that the contrast does not make anything fade into the background.
Hopefully by the time that rolls around I will have some photos from the rest of the team's review to share some teasers with you!
Have a great rest of your week everybody!

Project Update: THANK YOU! - Now Fully Funded, What's Next?
At $25,450, we've reached the end of the line! Thank you all so much for helping fund production and printing of PERFECT CRIME PARTY! 630 lovely criminal accomplices have jumped aboard the train to help make that happen! 🎉 September has just gone and blown away into October, it's hard to believe we're already at the end of the first week! Before any more time gets away from us I wanted to give a summary of where we're at:
This is our 43rd project to date, and we're so happy that you're all here to sink your teeth into the perfect crime! Thanks to all 630 of you, we were even able to make our goal of giving our artists a pay bump as well!
The funds from the backing will be collected some time over the next 3-4 weeks, so you will want to make sure the amount you pledged is available in your accounts shortly in order to receive your rewards without any hiccups. If your funding fails for some reason, we can attempt again if an email is forwarded to us at [email protected]. Just let us know if you have any issues!
Once the funds have been collected, a survey will be going out some time after to ask you for your shipping information. We'll make an announcement when that happens of course to nudge you to check for yours. If you've been here before you know what to do! If your address changes after you have already locked in the address, send us a message to the email above as well. You should have plenty of time to get that done, and we'll let you know here when the time to fill the survey is coming to an end.
Periodic updates for where we're at in the production process will be posted here when available. I try to make it at least once per month or when an important update is necessary, so stay tuned!
Hope you all have a great weekend, thanks again! 💛

Project Update: Speeding towards the Finish...!
Thank you to each and every one of our 494 accomplices in crime (I had to update this twice while writing it, you guys rock!) currently backing Perfect Crime Party! We're on the final week of funding with just over $580 to go to our goal! I would love to see this happen so our artists can spend the rest of the week excited to see their comics come to print, so if you can, please show this page to your favorite crime-time investigation liker! 👀
Anyone who has already backed: you still have time to pick up a couple other volumes from our library as well and save on some shipping! Could we interest you in... space? 🚀
Imagine. It's the first half of 2018. You wake up 6 months from now, log onto your computer, and find out that near-instantaneous intergalactic transportation can be installed in your 15 year old Toyota Corolla that doesn't even have a USB for just about $200. Where are you going?
Personally I think I'd end up in a black hole with my luck. It's space! Our great backyard where none have gone further than the moon. Until now.
This anthology of stories in a post-Earth exploratory universe ranges from the first few years of entrepreneurial
starseekers to those looking to just catch the flight they booked to the galaxy their spouse works in. The first feelings of waking up after eleven months of sleeping in space stasis as you chat over coffee. And just how willing a ship is to save its captain. With over 15 different stories to read it's sure to get your mind thinking of a future that may, or may not, be too far off.
Below for you to sample is Soft Physics by Blue Delliquanti, showcasing how even in the farthest reaches of human-faring space there's no shortage of drama, or those that keep up with it...

Project Update: Preparing to Launch...
We're entering the final days of the backing of Perfect Crime Party, at 79% funding and 420 backers! (nice)
Thank you firstly to everyone who has already backed. We appreciate your efforts sharing this page as well to anyone who you think might love a little crime prime time, and we think you're going to love the variety in our upcoming print! You've still got time to choose a few extra goodies from our add-ons section as well if you were interested in pushing that pledge a little more. We've got one of our newest titles for selection for you to consider today: Failure to Launch!
It's easy to be disheartened when you only see the stories of success - history is written by the winners and sometimes just by the people who managed to make the most of an idea that they didn't start. For every story of triumph, there's a thousand stories of how a startup ended up as a Failure to Launch. This is an anthology of dreamers of human potential that didn't quite make the cut, but are still worth their stuff. That were too soon for their time. That maybe should have succeeded, or maybe it's really good they didn't succeed!
What should interest you about this? Perhaps you were raised with a fear of failure. Told that you could do anything, but faced with reality you realize it may not work out? But maybe you've also been surprised when told you've inspired someone. Or you remember someone whose failed efforts were enough to make you go 'I could do that'? That's the spark that makes others try - and makes you try again, yourself! But to begin, you must not be afraid to fail!
If you root for the underdog, this collection of over 30 comics about historical hopefuls will grip you! And maybe make you pick up that thing you thought was too hard juuuust one more time...
Any idea, failure or success, can lead to the future! Even yours! Below is The First Union by Harry Brewis (hbomberguy) and illustrated by Skutch, telling us the tale of the well-intentions of the spinning jenny, the embodiment of A Worker's Frustration, and what Luddites used to do to people who thought they were a class above their employees...
