Hey Vamps,

Thank you for checking out this game and becoming involved in the community to support games in the May I Enter universe. This game came about because I was invited to participate in Pocketopia but I didn't think that May I Enter would be ready in time for crowdfunding before March. Well, Alison crushed the core writing on the game much more effectively and faster than I expected so we do actually have a full manuscript for the 'big game' ready. 

My hope with this small campaign was to do two things, build a community for May I Enter, and write my first zine-length game. When I submitted my information for Pocketopia I didn't have either game written but both came together really quickly and super well. 

For those who don't know, May I Enter: A Vampire Game is a Powered By The Apocalypse (PbtA) game that focuses on the idea that if vampires have to be invited in, what if they needed permission for other things too? I was increasingly uncomfortable with the genre tropes of most vampire games and I wanted something different. Something a little more wholesome but also with lots of emotional storytelling depth to it. Alison took my notes and outline and really smashed it out of the park. We also added in some OSR exploration elements, where there are ancient vampire bunkers around the world you have to explore, while trying to make the world a better place. It's definitely a hope punk game in the face of ennui and systemic problems. So, hopefully you'll stay around for that game when we get to crowdfunding it in the next few months.
