The heroine of the I Am Maggie series is Maggie Loritz; five-foot-seven, age thirty-nine, former child prodigy. Born with a rare congenital heart defect, she spent most of her childhood in the Game, which is what makes her so good at her job.

An undercover cyber cop, Maggie knows her way around the nets, including the ins and out of dealing with some of its trickier denizens, like the AIs.
