Since officially launching www.floralfrolic.com in 2020, our little two artist business has grown a lot!  And so too have our storage issues.  Preorders through the website seem to not get much traction and are hard to promote.  River Dragon and Underworld Jackal are also much larger, fancier plush than we have ever produced before! Which makes the storage problem even worse, and starts to also get in to funding problems...   It is our hope that putting together this Backerkit campaign will help alleviate some storage issues (new plushies can go straight to new homes!), as well as provide funding for us to make big fancy plushies! And pay for more storage.

We are sincerely grateful to everyone who has supported us throughout the years!  We hope you will enjoy these new designs that we've worked hard to make!

We love games and foxes; Asmadi Games also loves games and foxes!  So we have worked together with Asmadi Games to create a fun collab!

Followers of our art might know we illustrated a very pup-tastic card game with Asmadi called Good Puppers.  We have also enjoyed playing many of Asmadi's other games, inlcuding their dice and dungeon crawler One Deck Dungeon.  One Deck Dungeon's latest expansion "Relics of the Forge" is funding RIGHT NOW, and we have prepared some fun foxy themed bonuses to increase your dungeon experience!

Backers who choose to pledge to both campaigns for a minimum of $15 on each campaign will receive their choice of a red or blue Foxfire pin.  Pledges of $150 between both campaigns will receive BOTH versions of Foxfire pin.

One Deck Dungeon supporters who pledge for either The Vault tier or Abyssal Trove add on will receive a special bonus hero for their game, the enchanting Foxfire.  Foxfire and her adjoining pin are designed by both of us here at Floral Frolic!

Everyone who qualifies for a pin will receive their bonus when items from this campaign ship.  Everyone who qualifies for a Foxfire hero card will receive their bonus card with their game orders.

First we would like to introduce to you the River Dragon!

She is a whopping 32.5 inches from snout to tail, and 7 inches tall.  She is sewn from minky fabric with embroidered back scale details.  She has minky horns and stubby little legs that are fun to play with.  She makes a great companion for sitting on the back of your couch or for cuddling with.

This is our largest plush designed to date and we hope you will enjoy her as much as we do!

About the River Dragon, she likes swimming through mud and rivers, as well as rocks and lava.  She enjoys a nice sunbath, and if complimented adequately, she can be coaxed into belly rubs.

The Underworld Jackal has been a long time coming.  We've spent several months working on this guy to get him just right!

He measures 27.5 inches from foot to tail, and 14.5 inches tall from elbow to eartip.  He is made from minky fabric with a delicately cut felt golden collar.  His ears are stuffed with batting to keep them stiff and standing.  His tail features a beautiful peacock embroidery design.

He has so many great details from top to bottom, we hope you will enjoy!

About the Underworld Jackal, he likes lounging in luxury.  His favorite place is at your side, being as fawned over as he knows he deserves.  He easily and willingly takes belly rubs (yes please, no need to ask!)

Ginkgo Gold Fish is just a small guy.  But we hope he won't be overlooked for his size!                 

He measures 9 inches long and 3 inches tall.  He has cute scale embroidery on his face, as well as ginkgo leaves on his sides.  He is made from minky all the way from his fins to his cute little whiskers.  There is a loop at the top of his head if you wish to hang him somewhere.

About Ginkgo Gold Fish, he enjoys swimming through galaxies.  He is just a shy little guy, so please don't bully him! 

We've designed many beautiful pins to go with this campaign.  We could not resist making some beautiful and intricate designs with both Jackal and Dragon. 

Only Peacock Jackal and Ouroboros are unlocked at the base funding level. Please see the Stretch Goal section to check when the remaining pins will be made available. **Important and exciting hint: the three little pins are exclusive and are free with 20$+ purchases ... if certain funding goals are unlocked.**

All backers will be charged shipping via Backerkit when items are ready to ship.  We know you would prefer to pay upfront, but due to fluctuating shipping costs, we have decided to wait to charge shipping.  Please note, if you refuse to pay shipping when it is due, WE WILL NOT REFUND YOUR PLEDGE.   Pins and Fish plush are small and will ship via USPS.  If your order contains a dragon or maybe a jackal plush, it will probably go out by UPS.  Please note, UPS cannot deliver to PO Boxes.  If you need delivery via PO Box, please let us know at the time surveys go out, so the correct shipping method can be purchased.  Delivery by USPS is more expensive for the larger items (around $75 for River Dragon).  So please be prepared that large items shipping to PO Box addresses will encounter this extra cost.

If you do not pay your import fees and your package is shipped back to us, we will not reship or refund the package.  This seems like a very extreme rule, but we have had so many issues in the past with customers refusing to pay customs.  Please be familiar with Canada's import rules before you commit!

Pledgers outside of North America will be charged shipping via Backerkit when all items are ready to ship! We know you would prefer to pay for everything upfront, however, due to constantly fluctuating shipping costs, we have decided to wait to charge buyers shipping. Please note, if you refuse to pay shipping when it is due, WE WILL NOT REFUND YOUR PLEDGE. Refunds would only be given if we are unable to ship to your country for some reason. 

REGARDING VAT or CUSTOMS FEES:  We tried our hardest to have a warehouse handle and prepay VAT and customs fees for customers.  Lesson learned: it was a huge headache.  We will allow orders from UK, AUS, NZ, NO and CH.  BUT customers will be responsible for paying any import fees.  If you do not pay your import fees and your package is shipped back to us, we will not reship or refund the package.  This seems like a very extreme rule, but we have had so many issues in the past with customers refusing to pay customs.  Please be familiar with your country's import rules before you commit!

Please be 100% prepared to pay for shipping at a later date.  Please be 100% prepared to pay for import fees if your country charges them. If you do not feel comfortable pledging at this time for that reason, we are sorry that options are so limited for large international shipments. 

WE CANNOT SHIP TO THE EU.  Due to toy safety regulations in the EU, an official importer is needed to bring plush into the country.  We tried to work with a company with Loaf Tarot.  We wanted desperately for it to work out.  What resulted was a lot of unhappy customers (including myself) and a warehouse situation that just did not pan out.  The backend setup took months to do and then customers still did not receive their items.  Inventory went missing.  VAT that was supposed to be paid wasn't.  It made us very sad.  We don't have a good way to import plush or other items correctly into Europe.  Orders to the EU will not be accepted.  We cannot refund orders placed to the EU once the campaign has finished.  PLEASE BE AWARE. 

We're touched that so many people in Europe have wanted to pay the high shipping price for our products.  It means a lot!  If you are truly truly wishing to purchase and are from the EU, I recommend seeking out a 3rd party shopping service to purchase for you.  We are sorry that this is the best advice we can offer currently.  Thank you for understanding.

We will be handling fulfillment ourselves.  We have several campaigns under our belts at this point and are knowledgeable about shipping.  We have been working with our plush factory with excellent results since 2021.  There will surely be hiccups along the way, but we are experienced in handling most things. (Universe, this is not your time to make me regret typing this). 

We have already started production on some items to get the ball rolling on this campaign.  We hope to be fulfilling orders around November 2024, barring any major complications.  Product production always has its setbacks, so we will *try* to ship in time for Christmas, but please don't make your life or holiday satisfaction depend on it. We expect all items should be shipping, at latest, by March 2025.  We will of course, be updating backers on production status as the project progresses.
