Project Update: Pins ordered! Surveys update.
Hello! Short update as I have my final convention to prepare for - but I have ordered the pins! Thank you for filling out surveys so quickly, and I hope to have further updates regarding pin production soon.
Remindee that if your survey isn't filled out you will not receive your rewards - so please be sure to fill that out. You will not be charged until shortly before ship - so don't worry about paying immediately! Shipping and add ons will not be charged immediately.
I have also ordered the sticker sheets and can't wait to show you all what they look like :)

Project Update: SURVEYS ARE LIVE! PLEASE READ THIS UPDATE!
Okay folks! Surveys are OUT! There is a LOT of text below, so I apologize in advance, but it will likely answer most or all questions you may have - so please read it all!
I also want to note that the PRE ORDER STORE IS OPEN and anyone who didn't back the campaign has a chance to pre order items and receive them with backer orders - be some of the first folks to receive these awesome pins!! Surveys deadline
The deadline to respond to surveys is December 15th! I will be placing the pin order that day, but I will place it sooner if the majority of surveys are received earlier. The sooner you fill it out, the sooner I can get pins into production, and thus the sooner pins will be in your hands!
What happens if I don't fill out my survey by then?
If your survey isn't filled out by the above deadline, I cannot guarantee the items you've chosen will be available. Due to the volume of backers, some items will be ordered in larger quantities than the MOQ to ensure I have enough to fulfill orders. Which means I will be ordering more exact quantities, with some extra to account for B grade items. If I run out of A grade items, any late surveys will be receiving the lower grade items (whatever is left and available).
I've given you all almost 3 weeks to fill your surveys out however, which should be plenty of time :)

What about adding on extra items?
You will have an opportunity to add on extra items after filling out your survey! You will also be asked specific questions about some of you add-on items during the survey - which is why it's so important to fill it out.
I'm being charged again? Why?
As explained in the campaign and in pledge level & add on descriptions, all shipping fees will be charged after surveys. This allows for more accurate shipping fees being charged, and ensures that nobody is under or over charged! If you add any additional items to your pledge post survey, then these will be charged there as well.
What extra items are available?
Everything that was an add on in the main campaign will be available, plus the Freebie Stars - additionally, I have put both Solar Flare and Asteroid Shower up as stretch goal pins - if we reach the quantity needed before I order pins they will be made! I am also going to have these two pins available on my website and pre-order store for folks to pre-order, so even if we don't hit the order minimum here, they may still get made.
I have listings started for some additional merch (lanyards, stationery, washi, acrylic keychains) but I have not had a chance to complete mockups of those - so I will make an announcement once they have been updated (likely early Jan, possibly earlier) so if anyone wants to add these items to their carts at that time they are able to. They are currently hidden so nobody adds things they haven't seen to their cart!

I made a mistake on my survey! What do I do?
You are free to go back and edit your survey as much as you would like until orders and addresses are locked (which I aim to do right before shipping orders!)
When will orders/addresses lock?
The date won't be exact, but once I have received all of the items necessary to ship orders, I will lock them. This is likely to be at the end of January at the earliest.
When will the campaign close?
My hope is ALL open orders will be fulfilled by April. My tentative close date is April 15th. Once I close the project, it will not be reopened and any surveys not filled out will be unable to be completed, and all payments at that point will be considered a donation. This will adjust based on several factors but I will send out many warnings prior to this!

Project Update: Smoke test surveys out!
Hey all - ultimately, it appears that the 3" black hole pin was chosen. That means that the pin will be an additional $5 if you choose it as an option (several folks added it as an add-on as well; I will reach out to you all individually to verify if you'd like to swap add ons, or keep the black hole pin at the elevated price).
It was a close call, but for those who voted, most wanted the larger pin - I also want to do the design justice and ensure the translucent enamel makes it onto the final product!
With that decided, smoke test surveys have been sent. This means 5% of backers will receive surveys, and if there are any issues, then it will hopefully be caught and ironed out in this stage! So please, if you received a survey, fill it out ASAP!
As long as nothing major comes to light, then all surveys will be sent Wednesday!

Project Update: IMPORTANT UPDATE PLEASE READ ASAP!
So the (ETA: pin SAMPLES) pins have arrived - Pretty much all of them look GREAT (photos will be in this update!) and I am SO EXCITED about them. 5 of them are perfect as is and are ready for production - 3 only require small changes, but are otherwise all set for production, but 1 may need a larger change. That is the black hole pin - while I chose 2" as the size, that just does NOT feel large enough to do this pin justice. It also does not allow for the translucent enamel to do its job due to some small crevices.
There are a few options here:
1) Leave it as is, but remove the translucent enamel option. This is going to be the easiest and least expensive method, as it will not increase the cost per pin nor will it incur another mold fee, or be more expensive to ship.
2) Increase pin size to 2.5". This will increase my cost per pin pretty significantly - as the mold fee will be higher (and I will need to pay a second mold fee over the 2" pin mold fee already paid), cost per pin will be higher, and shipping will be higher. This will require folks to pay an additional 2$ if they would like to choose the black hole pin option.
3) Increase pin size to 3". Same as above, however the cost per pin will increase quite a bit more to $5 per black hole pin. I have included some photoshopped examples of how much larger the pin will be compared to the current iteration so you can (hopefully) more easily visualize what I mean.

PLEASE vote on the above poll, as I will need to make changes in the survey if it appears people would prefer a large black hole pin, that cannot be made once it is finalized and sent out (as far as I know).
