Hello and welcome to my little campaign for a special edition hardcover of my debut book, All the Woods She Watches Over: Stories & Poetry.

For years, since I published this little book in 2020, I've wanted to make a hardcover edition. Now, we're finally doing it, with some extra bells and whistles atop it! Enjoy checking out the campaign!

<3

~ Emily

All the Woods She Watches Over includes original and published short stories and poetry. Glimpses into loss and love, friendship and family, otherworldy magic, and magic roaming our own backyard.

A soldier of metal and wire meets another like herself, only a little more human. A child talks with Death on her apartment roof. A robot remembers nothing but the family he cares for. Faeries have eaten the planet, but this isn’t the story about the end of the world. A witch plants lilies that know her well. An old woman knows the wolves that prowl the endless woods, and also the one that has come to visit...

Emily McCosh is a graphic designer and writer of strange things. She currently lives in California with her two parents, one dog, one tree swing, and innumerable characters who need to learn some manners. Her short fiction has appeared in Beneath Ceasless Skies, Shimmer, Galaxy’s Edge, Flash Fiction Online, Nature: Futures, and elsewhere.

She is the author of All the Woods She Watches Over: Stories & Poetry; Under the Earth, Over the Sky; In Dying Starlight; The Sea at the End of Everything; and The Wind and the Wild.

_______

Under the Earth, Over the Sky is Emily's debut novel (Kickstarted!), and is perfect if you want a cozy stand-alone fairytale about an old fae king who adopts and raises a little human child.

In Dying Starlight (free to read on Kindle Unlimited!) follows Aaron, a cyborg bounty hunter and Bat, his badger companion (who talks a bit too much), as their largest job goes terribly wrong. Featuring lots of found family vibes, sarcasm, and a few galactic princesses.

The Sea at the End of Everything is an illustrated novella (also Kickstarted!) that was published in February of this year, about two sisters who reconnect as they help a strange creature washed up during a magical storm.

The Wind and the Wild is a fae fantasy romance novel about a young woman who diiscovers a strange fae lord hiding out in an abandoned library in Faerie, and is coming in early 2025. You can grab early special editions with now on my Backerkit store!
