How does BackerKit crowdfunding work?

Crowdfunding is a collaborative way to bring ideas and projects to life. Project creators post their idea for a project, and backers pledge money to make the project possible. Backers get behind the scenes access and backer-only rewards, which can include exclusive products, special pricing, creative input, content, and more.

To become a backer, select a pledge level that features the reward(s) you would like to receive when the project is successfully completed and make your contribution.

All-or-nothing crowdfunding model: The creator sets a funding goal and a deadline to raise funds. If the project does not meet the goal by the deadline, backers credit cards are not charged and no money changes hands.

Crowdfunding projects can happen at various stages of the creative process. Make sure to check the estimated timeline of when rewards will be delivered. Project creators will keep you updated on the progress toward completion and delivery of your rewards.

Backing a crowdfunding campaign is not the same as purchasing an item from a store. When you back a campaign you are supporting the creation of something new. Rewards are almost always delivered, but are not guaranteed.

When will I be charged for my pledge?

Your payment method will not be charged right away. You will be charged for the amount of your pledge when the campaign ends and the project reaches its funding goal. You will not be charged if the campaign does not reach its funding goal.

What happens after the campaign is over?

The Creator will send out a survey that will ask you for more information about your pledge, your shipping information, additional items you may want to add to your pledge, and collect shipping fees if applicable.

The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge.

Any additional payment will be charged when you complete your survey and confirm your order.

Shipping Fees

Shipping will be calculated and collected after the campaign through the Pledge Manager. We have an approximation by location: • US: $5+ • Canada: $16+ • Worldwide: $20+ Except EU Please Note: Shipping is not included in the price listing. Backers outside of the US are responsible for any and all customs fees, import taxes, VAT, GST, or other additional costs associated with importing goods into their country and those costs are NOT included in their pledge or shipping cost.

Do you ship to the EU?

Unfortunately, I am unable to offer shipping to the EU at this time. Due to the new General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) requirements, small businesses like mine face significant challenges in complying with these new safety and documentation standards. This includes increased costs and administrative work that are difficult to manage at my scale. I am exploring ways to comply with the GPSR and hope to offer EU shipping in the future. What is your return policy

Returns and exchanges are not accepted. But please contact us if you have problems with your order.

What if I want 2 pins or a number not on the pledges?

All of the designs will be available as add-ons in the pledge manager at the per pin rate of your Pledge Level. Only the Grand Maester Level exclusive pin is not available as an add-on.

What if I want an additional Sigil Pin?

One Apotheca Sigil pin would be FREE if you pledge for both campaigns. However you can pledge for more along any number of pins you want or you can select it as an add on.

What is Pay Over Time?

Pay over time is available for Pledges over $150 At checkout you'll be given the option to pay 4 equal interest-free monthly installments of your pledge total over the course of 4 months. If you select Pay Over Time, you acknowledge that: You understand that any partial payments made are not eligible for a refund. You understand that you will not be able to access the pledge manager survey until after you have paid in full. You understand that your rewards will not qualify for shipment until you have paid in full.
