Long before the dawn of history, ancient myths speak of divine beings who hold the very forces of nature in their claws. In Chinese mythology, dragons are not monsters. They are wise, powerful, and deeply respected. Because they govern the rain, rivers, and seas, they hold the literal lifeblood of civilization in their hands.
Farmers pray to the Dragon Kings for gentle rains to guarantee bountiful harvest, terrified that angering them would result in devastating droughts or catastrophic floods. Sailors and coastal villagers make offerings at their temples, seeking safe passage across treacherous waters. They are the ultimate symbols of power, fortune, and untamed majesty of the natural world.
These are the Dragon Kings. Immortal rulers of the oceans, commanders of the weather, and guardians of the world's elemental balance. Each cardinal direction is protected by a brother King, while a central supreme sovereign anchors them all.
To bring this mythos to life, we are forging large, 3+ inch statement pins of the Dragon Kings. Alongside them, you can collect a companion series of smaller 1.5 to 2-inch pins featuring various creatures from across Chinese folklore.
The Black Dragon of the North, Ao Shun: Ruler of the dark, freezing waters of the North Sea. He controls the element of water and the quiet, fierce snows of winter.
The Red Dragon of the South, Ao Qin: A tempest of fire and summer heat, he commands the South Sea and the lightning that dances across it's turbulent skies.
The White Dragon of the West, Ao Run: Guardian of the West Sea, he embodies the element of metal. He carries the crisp, sweeping winds of autumn across the mountains.
The Azure Dragon of the East, Ao Guang: Dwelling in the crystalline depths of the East Sea, he is the bringer of spring and the harbinger of growth. His is the element of wood.
The Yellow King of the Center, Huanglong: The Supreme Dragon King. Representing the earth itself and the transition of seasons, this sovereign sits at the axis of the world, unifying the four seas and holding the delicate balance of the cosmos in place.

Sun Crow: The Sun crow, or the Golden Crow, represent the sun. There used to be 10 of them, but one day, they grew mischievous and all flew together at once, burning the Earth. Hou, Yi the celestial archer shot down nine of them to save the world. He spared the last one so it may serve as our sun that we see today.
Feilong: This dragon rides atop the clouds and mist. It's presence generates gentle seasonal rains and floating vapors.
Biyiniao: Two inseparable birds working together in complete devotion and harmony. Each bird possessing only one eye and and one wing. Together they are complete.
Fenghuang the Chinese Phoenix: The ultimate balance of Yin and Yang. The Chinese phoenix has five distinct colors that each represent the specific virtues of benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and sincerity. It is also the symbol of the Empress and pure grace.
Jin Chan The Money Toad: Having one of these 3 legged toads in your home will attract wealth and good fortune!

Shipping costs will be calculated and charged after the campaign ends through BackerKit’s survey system. Rates are subject to change based on quantity and location, but here’s what you can expect:

International Backers: Buyers are responsible for any VAT or customs fees. If a package is returned due to unpaid fees, I’ll contact you to resolve the issue. You’ll be responsible for any re-shipping fees. If I don’t hear back within 48 hours, your order will be forfeited without a refund.
Address Updates: Please ensure your shipping address is correct and up to date. You’ll have time to make changes, and I’ll notify you before locking addresses for shipping. If your package is returned due to an incorrect address, I’ll contact you to resolve the issue. You’ll be responsible for any re-shipping fees. If I don’t hear back within 48 hours, your order will be forfeited without a refund.

The pin manufacturing process can take several weeks up to a few months, depending on the number of designs ordered, as well as the production and shipping of other items. If everything goes according to plan, here's the general timeline you can expect:

Please note: These dates are estimates. Delays may occur, but we’ll keep you updated on any changes.
Manufacturing Delays: Production times are estimates, and delays may occur. Backers will be notified of any unexpected delays or updates.
Design Adjustments: Minor changes to colors or linework may be made during production. We'll do our best to match the final pins to the designs as closely as possible, but some differences between mockups and final items are expected.
Refunds and Exchanges: Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the campaign’s end date. No refunds or exchanges will be accepted after this period or once your order is locked in.
Damaged Rewards: If your rewards arrive damaged, contact us with photos as proof, and we’ll work with you to resolve the issue.
Pin Grading: Pins will be standard grade, meaning they’ll range from perfect to having very minor flaws that aren’t immediately noticeable. All pins will be inspected before shipping.
Shipping: We'll use USPS to ship rewards. International mail service may be suspended in some countries - backers are responsible for confirming service availably. Backers are also responsible for any customs fees. Refunds or replacements will not be provided for packages lost due to unpaid customs fees. See the Shipping section for more details. If we're unable to ship to your location, your pledge will be refunded, minus Backerkit fees and taxes.
