Project Update: Renewed Timeline (PDFs in October, some goods by EOY, others may be affected by dock worker's strike)
Hey everyone!
Hope you had a great September, but it's now time for a spooky month. As such, I feel I owe you an update on the timeline. Here's what you can expect:
Rough timeline:
1) Expect to get the final bits of content this month, namely CYST's finalized version with the new ending, The Arcade, and Xanthophobia Censored. You should already have the Horror Core and Diner. If not, use the email below and we'll get you straightened out.
2) Other than the book printing, everything else is ready to ship. Book printing should start later this month.
3) Just a heads-up, but the current dock worker's strike will likely affect our timeline, so I'm not sure when things will ship. I'll try to find a local solution for book printing. Fortunately, Horror Core Rulebook and The Diner are already printed, and I've got all the VHSes on hand. The Arcade will also be printed stateside, so that won't require shipping. I'll also print the VHS version of CYST domestically, along with all the other VHS versions. I expect a 1 month turn around on those and then they'll ship from my store in Norman, OK.
4) Worst case scenario... CYST hardcover and Xanthophobia will have to wait until the dock union strike ends and probably beyond the holidays. The alternative is to print them in the US, but with a few less bells and whistles. This will be costly since these are the "meat" of the product, so I'll have to do a bit of research. Since domestic shipping is relatively cheap thanks to USPS' media mail, I might just do everything in two batches—the domestic printed stuff and add-ons first, then CYST and Xanth when they arrive in the US. It'll cost me more, but it'll ensure that you get some goodies in your hands.
5) My pal, Rick, the core artist on this project and I have been working on some other horror stuff. I'll try to tack those on as consolation prizes for all the delays.
Why so late?
It's been a shit show of a year. Bad health, production delays on other projects, legal stuff (not on this, but in other areas), and now supply chain issues have made what should have been a slam dunk a bit of a bother. Either way, I'm still gung-ho on this.
But I must say... I think it's kinda fun getting it all done in October.
Need help?
If you need something, don't hesitate to hit up Bree at [email protected] and we'll get you sorted.
Take care!
