Hello and Welcome to Blades Beasts and Blooms! Something that unexpectedly unites us all is that mankind has always wielded bladed weapons, dreamed of powerful dragons, and enjoyed the simple beauty of flowers. We wanted to commemorate that with our latest line of pin designs.
Blades Beasts and Blooms is a hard enamel pin collection that features weapons, dragons and flowers from cultures all over the world! Are you ready to join the hunt? Embark on a quest that merges stunning artistry with unforgettable lore, begin a journey that spans continents and epochs; from the swift katana of Japan to Egypt’s curved kopesh, from the dazzling Rainbow Serpent of West Africa to the legendary Lindworm of Norse mythology, from Europe’s elegant rose to the striking peony of China.
Your blade awaits, the beasts are stirring, and the blooms are blossoming on the adventure ahead!
Many of these legends and beasts had no visual depiction at all. Each was researched and cross-referenced as much as possible between text and historic depictions. They have been illustrated with the best of Tokii's ability, with your help we can resurface lost legends and stories.

You “Pledge” to receive the pins of your choice! Higher pledge tiers will have exciting extras like a free pin or stickers depending on the level!
My initial goal is for $ is to fund the first pin. The more raised, the more pins will go into production!
This is an all-or-nothing campaign, so you won’t be charged right until the end of the campaign.
Once the campaign concludes, and if it is fully funded, surveys will be sent out. During these surveys, you will be able to make final add-ons and select your pins and other pledged rewards.
Surveys are also important because they supply me with your shipping details.
Early bird spots are limited tothe first48hours. If you un-pledge during the campaign you will not be able to re-pledge for the early bird deal again if it's past 48 hours, even if someone else drops their spot!
CritCreations is run by Shenna Mae Padayao (a.k.a. Tokii) (the chaotic creative lead) and Jacob Daniel Brown (the lawful backend who calculates finance and says final approvals)
We aim to provide some education value, blending fantasy with reality in the project we make. Every piece in the Blades, Beasts, and Blooms collection is a labor of love, brought to life by artist Tokii. Each pin begins as a hand-drawn design, meticulously crafted to capture the spirit of the myths, legends, and histories that inspire them.
Creating these pins was no simple feat. Hours of research went into understanding the cultural significance of every dragon, blade, and bloom. From studying the origins of mythical creatures to diving into the history of iconic swords and the meanings behind national flowers, each design represents a story deeply rooted in its culture.
The result is a collection that celebrates the beauty of diversity and the shared love for storytelling across the globe. Through these designs, Tokii invites you to wear a piece of history, myth, and nature, each one as unique as the cultures they represent.

SHIPPING FEES- Shipping fees will be collected after the campaign through pledge manager
Currently we are not shipping to the EU due to GSPR restrictions. When completing your survey, please double-check your shipping address to make sure it’s accurate. For our wonderful international backers (outside the USA), just a heads-up: you’ll be responsible for any customs or VAT fees. For UK backers specifically, VAT isn’t included in the pledge price, so there may be additional customs charges when your package arrives.
If a package gets returned due to an address issue, I’ll kindly ask you to cover the shipping costs to resend it. But don’t worry- if the mistake is on my end, I’ll take care of reshipping at no cost to you!

While we're waiting on production for this campaign- we will be working on our next one, Cryptids and Critters. We will be featuring American folklore, focusing on folklore spanning across different regions of the USA during the 19th and early 20th centuries. We will bring to light oddities, and wonders in the form of 3D enamel pins. Badges for the valiant cryptid hunters.
This will be my second enamel pin campaign, my last one featuring Japanese folklore. We successfully hit our goal and unlocked every stretch goal, sharing little myths and legends of spirits called Yokai.
