Our final pin deisgn is here. Introducing... The Motivational Turtle!

This lil guy has a very special meaning to me.

Every year my mom does the Ultimate Hike, a 25 mile in one day(!) hike to raise money for pediatric cancer, in honor of my cousin Lesley who passed away at 18 after a six year battle. 

When I was mulling over ideas it was my mom who suggested "what about a hiking themed one? Like one step at a time?" 

It was perfect, and the vision for the turtle popped into my head immediately. 

I knew I wanted him to have cute little hiking boots and socks, a shell backpack, and a walking stick, which also tied him in perfectly with the other animals. 

He turned out even better than I imagined, and as someone who genuinely thought the only way I could ever create a pin was to hire someone else, I'm very proud of my artistic skills I've discovered in this process. 

It's truly been a "one step at a time" journey to learn Procreate, get over my imposter syndrome, try and try again to get different features to look right, etc. 

But what my mom and others do to raise money for kids cancer is much harder and so admirable. 

I will also be gifting her extra inventory of the turtles to continue to sell towards her fundraising goal.

But that can only happen if this turtle gets made... and we need to hit $1400 in funding to do that!!

We are in the home stretch of this campaign.

Pediatric cancer only gets 4% of all cancer funding, which is a statistic my mom is trying to change. 

So let's help her and all those working to raise that number by raising this campaign number!
