BH&BA Editor Jay Wolf will read and perform a developmental edit on one short story, up to 7500 words, submitted via email by arrangement after the crowdfund. This will include an edit letter and Word document markup.
While a dev edit is never a guarantee of publication, it is a comprehensive evaluation of a story, ideal for an early completed draft. A developmental edit seeks the strengths in the work to bring them forward, assessing structure, diction, character, plot, and other core elements.
