Project Update: Quick update- We're rockin and rolling
Our collab partner has all their kinks soothed out, and we will be mailing starting around mid February when their order gets here!
AND tarot cards are approved, the sample arrived and looks fabulous, and we should have them soon. IDK if they'll be here by the time we have the packing party above, but if not we'll be getting ALL packages ready then, so they will just be drop and seal when we get them!
Again, thank you so much for y'alls patience's with this. We are very excited to get these our of our house and home to you all!

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Tarot update! (Generally good!)
So here is where we are at:
The price we had set for the unlock goal for iridescent depended on a budget from a company that, by the time the campaign was done and it was ordering time, was ~gone~
This happens a lot with manufacturers overseas, unfortunately. And, possibly why they were out of business...that quote was unbelievably low, but in a way that involve nuance of papers and inks and their machines that we have to rely on the manu to provide.
We found our new company we are working with, got their sample...but at the price point we were working with, they could not get the metallic effect consistent. Both their, and other quotes from manus for it were significantly more- 2x-3x times the amount the original defunct company had quoted and that we based our budget on.
So, we worked with our manu, and settled on non-metallic cards, but with a beautiful gold edging. We are getting a sample again, before okaying the big order, which is being shipped currently. But, I feel PRETTY safe saying we are back in business and chugging along.
Thank you guys so much for your patience with this. It has stretched out a lot longer that we planned, but we appreciate so much you guys riding along with us.
Have some cat tax:

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Less fun update
We got the tarot card sample last week, and I was so excited to make an unboxing video for y'all and get these puppies manufacturing....
Aaaaaaaaand they were messed up.
We tried to do metallic foil AND gold edge, and apparently the two together cause a drying issue with the ink, cause streaks and thumbprints all over it.
We are talking to the manufacturer now, and will likely drop the gold edges, as nice as they look, because the metallic looks amazing without that issue.
Attaching the images so you can see what they will be....but also why these ones ain't it:

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Update-Nothing exciting really, but hello!
Hello!
I just wanted to check in with you all and let you know, depite it being Halloween, we absolutely haven 't ghosted you!
:^D
...all right, to business.
Tarot Deck is in production. Everything is going fine, but production is always a slow process.
And unfortunately, as most of you effected probably know, our co-creator had a mistake from her manu for the pins and is resolving that. However, because we are shipping together, this hold us up as well.
Since this has already been a long wait, we are going to sort through orders and find the few that aren't effected by the above, but that's like...5 of you.
Thank you guys again for you exquisite patience with this.

Project Update: Edits done!
Quickly, a shipping update!
All pins are backed! We're waiting for our pin partner to be ready to send those off.
As discussed before, when we pulled up the art it didn't match our manufacturers guidelines, so we had to reformat each card. And in the process we realized the art quality could be better. So we started cleaning up each card. That is done, and we will be ordering the deck ASAP, however this is our first time ordering a large order of paper products from a manufacturer, so while that shouldn't take LONG i don't have an estimate.
And with the deck fully touched up, I wanted to share the process!
If you have any artistic projects you work on (Or anything I imagine that takes a lot of detail and learning) you know the danger of "re-doing" a project. It's a good way to get caught forever looping, recreating the same thing over and over every time you get "better" and often losing something special in overworking it. So we set ourselves some limits.

-Most changes were for clarity, whether in the art, the content, or the message of the card. For example, in the three of tides, the color choices make the forms unclear. The back was changed because we wanted a back that didn't reveal whether a card was upside down or not before it was turned over. Things like that.
-No re-dos. Besides one card that was TOO unclear and had gotten multiple comments of confusion, every card is the same drawing. Just edited.
-Not messing with too many layers. There wasn't a hard limit on how many layers we could play with, especially because art was saved in different ways. But if I started getting into building it up from scratch again, I stepped back and reassessed what I didn't feel like was working, and what was best to change.
-What didn't print right. Computer to print is different, and a lot of subtle shifts in color and shading were made so art prints as accurately and enjoyably as possible.
Here's some examples, including those mentioned above!
