My name is Jennette and welcome to Flight of the Gryphons! This is my first time here on Backerkit, but my 8th enamel pin campaign (the previous 7 were on Kickstarter).
In the past, I've mostly stuck with dragon designs, with some dinosaur and wolf related ones thrown in there, so I really wanted to change things up and decided it was finally time to do Gryphons!
The 3 main pins are based off of the bird star constellations Aquila (Eagle), Corvus (Raven), and the Phoenix. The stars patterns are rather subtle by design, so as not to distract, but still a fun feature!
Each pin is hard enamel, 3 inches long from wing tip to wing tip. It features a section of glitter enamel on the wings to make the pin pop! Each of these pins will also include gold or silver stars and custom enamel charms that will dangle from the wings. The back of the pin will include 2 rubber clutches for extra support.
Backerkit will not charge you unless the campaign reaches its funding goal of $1200.
You can change your pledge amount at any time before the campaign ends on December 31st at Midnight (MST). I believe there may be some extra time allowed.
Surveys will be sent out once the campaign is complete, and you'll pick which designs you want.
You will receive updates on production and fulfillment as progress is made.
Pledging You will have multiple pledge tiers to choose from. When choosing a tier, pledge for what you want, regardless of whether an item is unlocked or not! The more you pledge, the more the funding goal moves up, and it will unlock all our stretch goals much faster, guaranteeing that the design you want is made!
You can purchase a single pin, or a set of pins. Like my last campaign, pins are grouped in sets of of 3, 5, 7 and 10. You can purchase additional pins, or "add-ons" for even number quantities. I recommend grabbing a bundle for better a discount!
More pledge levels may be added as the campaign goes on.
If for some reason you miss out on the campaign, don't worry! You will be able order all funded products after on my Etsy, but take advantage of the discounts now while you can! Prices will be higher on my Etsy!
I have 7 stretch goal pin designs that I hope will unlock! 3 headshot busts and 4 full body Gryphons.
What is a stretch goal? After the main funding goal is met and this campaign continues to grow, these designs can be unlocked after the funding reaches the goal amounts below. They'll then be available as one of your pledge options!
Like I said before, when you pledge, pledge for ALL the pins you want! You want all 10? Pledge for all 10! You can alwayschange your pledge at any time before the campaign ends. The more $ you pledge, the higher the chance these will be made!
The first set of stretch goals are the Gryphon headshots. These will be hard enamel pins, with 6 colors each. These designs feature 3 Gryphons adorned with feathers, flowers, and jewel headdresses.
These stickers will be 4" long (at longest length) with a glossy finish. They will be water/weather proof and easy to peel and sick anywhere!
Regardless of the stretch goal, all 10 sticker designs will be available to purchase! You can add as many as you want when you checkout add-ons. Don't forget, each backer will receive ONE sticker of their choice for FREE!
Trying something new! If we somehow surpass $10,000 on this Kickstarter, I will release a poll to my backers and create a BRAND NEW 2 inch Gryphon pin, based on suggestions by you! The pin will be created along with the others in time for shipping, and best of all.... it will be included in everyone's pledge order. That's right, for FREE! I may even livestream the drawing progress and allow you to watch me create it! :)
I've never quite broken $10k sales before, so it'd be pretty cool if we could, and this seems like a neat way to show my appreciation for you! So please spread the word far and wide about this campaign and lets get to $10,000!
January 1st - campaign ends at midnight (Pacific time)
January 1st-14th - Surveys sent and need to be filled out
January 14th - Approx. time payment will be received, and production begins
Mid/End of February - anticipated production completion and products sent to me
February/March - packing and shipping
After the campaign ends, the funds will be transferred to me - minus the fees - after a 14 day period. All products will be purchased at that time and production on the pins and stickers will begin!
Pin manufacturing can take anywhere from 20 to 30 days, and up to a week for freight shipping over seas. I'm really hoping production will go faster than anticipated, but please understand delays are possible and many things are out of my control. I always find it's best to err on the side of caution and give myself a lot of time, but I will keep everyone up to date on all the progress made! Most of the time, I end up shipping earlier than planned!
Once the campaign ends, surveys will be sent out for backers to choose their pins and add-ons, as well as their free sticker choice! These surveys will be sent to your Backerkit email. Please make sure it doesn't get sent to your spam folder!
Please fill out your surveys as soon as you see them! It will speed up the process of me ordering pins and knowing which quantities to tell my supplier. The longer you wait, the longer the delay.

I apologize that the price of shipping is so high, but it is what it is. :( Shipping prices everywhere have gone up in the past few years and I hate it. I wish I could lower the price.

The cost of shipping also includes the packaging supplies for each pledge:
6x9 inch bubble mailers (8x10 for larger orders)
Enamel pins will be secured in bubblewrap and/or plastic bags (depending on how my supplier sends them)
I'm happy to report that my original wonderful pin supplier (who supplied 6 out of 7 of my previous campaigns) is back and will be creating the gryphon pins! For those who were there for my last pin project (werewolves), I had so many issues and a delay due to them botching up the colors my designs. I'm glad that my original supplier is back and I can reassure all of you that the quality will be to my expectations! They've never failed me! They go above and beyond, and I trust them to do an excellent job! Just see their amazing work below!
