Once the campaign is fully funded and concluded, i will send out a survey that will let you pick which pins you want, add other items from my shop that weren't available during this campaign, and pay for shipping.

This is a very vulnerable part of me to share with you- although i've been a rigger for quite a while, my shibari art is not something i ever shared publicly because of the stigma it still faces. For me Shibari is a way of practicing mindfulness, of learning my limits and developing connections. It fosters better communication and has broadened my horizons, allowing me to meet a very wide variety of people!
Its a very different style from my usual art, although it keeps the same themes, with Fantasy at the forefront. Most of the pin designs use photos taken by myself as references for the sketches, only with a fantastic twist, and although i was bound to show these off sooner or later, i felt pintopia was the kick in the butt i needed to get this project moving!
I started building the designs during this years’ October drawing challenge, and the project idea took root there.

Early bird reward

All the pins in this collection will be hard enamel, around 5cm/2inches at the longest and will include one or two special characteristics- for this project, all the pins will have screen printed ropes. This allows for more detail in the ropes at such a small size, and it was really important to me to keep this level of detail, even if I can’t always be super accurate due to the size of the pins!

Divine suspension was one of my favourite sketches starting this campaign! It features a very challenging tie, and I thought it was fitting to give it feathered wings. This pin will measure 5cm, and feature glitter in the feathers. The rope itself will be screen printed on for higher detail at such a small size.

For submission, I asked one of my partners to turn himself into a reference image and send me a photo. I requested the pose and got a perfect reference back! This design went through several iterations, but ultimately I wanted to make it more detailed and kept going until I was satisfied. This pin will feature a translucent effect in he wings- I have found the effect is amazing on wings and I’m very much looking forward to seeing how it looks in this pin.

Capture the fae is one of the most dainty, elegant designs in this collection, and represents the simple, beautiful floor ties we love. The fairy wings will be filled in with iridescent glitter to really give them a pop of ethereal goodness.

Grasping binds started as an illustration for the prompt “fisherman”. The tie represented is called a fisherman harness, so it was a silly joke that evolved to represent the fisherman’s capture.
This pin will feature glitter in the tentacles and screen printed ropes.

The Blade represents me! I imagined this tie after I saw a lord of the rings themed challenge, and used a sword from my own collection to make it happen, asking my partner to tie it on me for reference! This pin will feature screen printed ropes, and the design may change as the campaign proceeds, since I’m not completely happy with it.

Fisherman’s Folly is a mermaid reimagining of a single harness suspension. The mermaid tie going down the legs and the rip of the tail tied to the hair completes the look for this mermaid. This pin will also be available as a keychain, and will feature screen printed ropes.

The Summoning is inspired by a tie I did myself on one of my partners. The pentagram tail, horns and satyr legs are contrasted by the holy halo around the head. This was the last design I worked on, and I was very pleased with how it looked. This pin will feature some low relief details to give it depth, but also spreenprinted rope for higher detail.

Medusa’s stare came to me in a moment of inspiration, and since it was one of the favourite options in the poll I decided to make it first! It will feature glitter effects on the lips and the lil snek’s eyes, and a pearl effect on the skin to make it look like marble. Its a bit more of a conceptual design, but I hope you love it!

This is my 9th crowdfunding project, and all have been fully funded and fulfilled within the expected timeline. It is also my first project fully on BackerKit, and I’m really hoping it goes well- this is a collection that’s really important to me, and any help sharing the project is highly appreciated!  One of the biggest barriers to my projects is always the fact that most spaces don’t allow me to share my own art, so having you do it is immensely helpful!
