What is Dungeoneering?
What is Dungeoneering: Catalysts?
Text Version Follows:
DUNGEONEERING is a D6-based, quick-and-dirty tabletop role-playing game where players explore dungeons, gather treasure, and fight monsters.
Players choose one of four roles (the Warrior, the Magician, the Thief, or the Prophet) and roll up their statistics (Might, Intellect, Agility, and Favor), along with their hit points. Game Masters, meanwhile, will be busy dressing the dungeon with all manner of monsters, treasures, and traps to beguile the players and disarm the characters.
All you need to get started in DUNGEONEERING are the rules, paper, pencil, and a six-sided die (probably a few six-sided dice, to be safe).
With those in hand, you’re ready to go on a delve!
Catalysts takes the best parts of Dungeoneering and cranks them up to eleven! With six new roles ranging from the Alchemist to the Sorcerer, players will have plenty of opportunity to play their way.
In addition, new spells, prayers, and over 70 magic items give players even more toys and GMs more rewards to litter the dungeon with.
New tables such as D100 Strange Inhabitants, D100 Monuments & Statues, and so much more to make your dungeon delves come alive!
In the original DUNGEONEERING, four classic roles gave players the default experience of dungeon-crawling. With the last expansion, two new roles got added to the mix.
In Catalysts, we’re not just adding a few roles—we’re doubling the roster!
Joining the dungeoneers are:
The experimental Alchemist...
...the rage-fueled Berserker...
...the trickster Harlequin...
...the protector Knight...
...the foul Necromancer...
...and the chaotic Sorcerer.
Each brings a plethora of new ways to (attempt to) conquer the dungeon.
Finally, delve into The Starlit Spire, a new adventure that can act as its own standalone Dungeoneering Delve, as a prologue to the megadungeon setting "The Nine Tombs of Athal-Kar", or as an adventure for an entirely different sword and sorcery roleplaying game!
This is an entirely separate book, allowing for you to reference the adventure while your players consult Catalysts.
