Orken is the newest project from IP design studio SIXMOREVODKA, a contemporary take on Fantasy which abandons the stereotypes and tropes typical of the genre to provide a fresh look at a beautiful universe. Breaking free of our RPG roots, this project takes a fully narrative look at the moment of first contact between two vastly different empires, each at the peak of their own ascendancy, telling the story through a lens of perspectives and media – novels, art books, anthologies, and more!
The Elemon, a vast, industrialized human empire hailing from faraway shores, have completely conquered their own continent and stripped it bare. Their gaze turned outwards, hunting for any new opportunities for conquest, any chance to keep their expansionist impulses alight – and they found one, when Viccanthus the bold set foot on Edom’s coastline. Riches, resources, and wild, untamed land; it was precisely what the Elemon needed. Their war machine began to build up momentum once more, while thousands upon thousands of soldiers clad in iron armor took to the seas on the long journey to Edom. Upon arrival, however, they realized that Edom’s existing inhabitants were none too pleased with their invasion. Derisively naming them “Orken”, the Elemon set about the task of exterminating all opposition. Edom would be rightfully theirs, no matter the cost.
The Khar, Edom’s inhabitants, have spent untold millennia enduring the harsh annals of history, making it to the present day through plague and war alike. Four Tides have passed since the beginning of creation: the Spirit Tide, the Tide of Gethwinter, The War Tide, and the Tide of Dawn. Now, the Fifth Tide looms, the Midnight Wolf battles the Sabretooth in the heavens, and the People of Metal arrive from foreign shores. With them, they bring fire, and death, and mayhem, and they will not stop until they have stripped Edom of all of its wealth and beauty. The Khar have ruled this earth. They are made from it. They are its claw, as they are its blood. Edom is them. They are Edom. And now, they must fight back, or face extinction.
