Welcome to the concept of Drug Crush Saga - this is our proposal of what we're envisioning to be an immersive and innovative, multi-dimensional match 3 mobile game!

We want to produce this addictive and unique gaming experience that combines strategic match 3 puzzle-solving, captivating comic strip storytelling, and intense top-down, side-swiping getaway racing action! 


With your support, we can bring this idea for an original, branded game to life and create an experience that will keep gamers entertained for hours on end. Pledge your support today and become a part of our proposed crime-fuelled, drug-crushing adventure with gangs and gangsters galore! We need £60,000 to help bring this project to life.

When combined, the key features and gameplay mechanics of Drug Crush Saga will make it an original, unique, innovative and engaging game to play. These include the following:



Crush and collapse the drug assets throughout each match 3 level (which would be time-based, score-based, and moves-based), collecting the illicit assets for you to then sell for that moolah 🤑 

Typically, match 3 games either use what's called the "Swap" Dynamic (i.e., swap the assets left/right/up/down to match them e.g. Candy Crush) or the "Blast/Collapse" Dynamic (i.e., tap to blast or collapse the assets e.g. Toon Blast). We want Drug Crush Saga to combine both dynamics within the same game!

There would be a 70/30 ratio of the respective dynamics; so 70% of the levels will employ the "Swap" dynamics, and 30% of the levels will employ the "Blast/Collapse" dynamic. As far as we know, there is currently no game out there that does this - this in itself gives us a unique starting point.



Another unique aspect of Drug Crush Saga we want to integrate as part of the gameplay is the use of the side swiping, top-down, getaway racing dynamic. We want these levels to be interspersed throughout the game and specifically after completing the match 3 boss battle levels.

This will be used to not only help switch the game up after the match 3 levels and provide some relief, but we want to use these racing levels to illustrate certain parts of the narrative of the game e.g. when our Protagonist is being pursued by Rival Gangs and Law Enforcement over land, sea and air. Each one of these getaway racing levels would employ the use of a different vehicle as the game progresses - from a bicycle, car, motorbike, and a Humvee, to a tank, speedboat, helicopter, and fighter jet...

We envision during these levels, the gamer would have to avoid colliding with objects on the road (in order to preserve vehicle health), with the goal to collect items, power ups, boosters, and in-game currency - all whilst being chased and shot at by the bad guys!



We want the user to follow the Protagonist's journey in the envisioned main Story Mode from beginning to end. We want Drug Crush Saga to have an entertaining, engaging, and at times emotional, character-driven story arc presented in three acts.

We envision the narrative of Drug Crush Saga being told throughout the game and in between levels with the use of high-quality, dynamic, full screen, comic strip cut scenes (using some animation) in order to fully immerse the gamer into the story which would contribute to the overall entertainment factor of the game.








We want to include a city building and idle tycoon element. With the ill-gotten gains from the match 3 and racing levels, this aspect of the game will help launder the gamer's cash allowing them to buy legitimate businesses - from a humble hot dog stand to a cash-generating casino. Each one of these businesses would generate x amount of in-game currency every x number of hours.




On the road to riches and diamond rings, real gamers do real things! In the pursuit of power, and pixel and polygonal materialism, we want the gamer to be able to collect trophies and items throughout the game be it by winning some of them as a reward after completing certain levels; buying them with their hard-earned drug cash; or with the cash that the user's legitimate businesses will generate on a daily basis. Cars, clothes, luxury shoes, sunglasses, & watches, jewellery, bikes, art, antiques, private jet and even a superyacht! To achieve 100% completion the gamer would have to collect 'em all for their vault! 

The in-game price of these items would reflect prices in reality on a 1:1 scale -if a luxury watch costs $10,000 in the real world, then it's going to cost the same amount in in-game currency. Similar to the city building & idle tycoon aspect, we envision that this proposed element of the game will also contribute to its longevity, keeping them engaged for hours and increase overall user retention.



PEW PEW! Our hero will come across many rival gangs and gangsters along his perilous journey including Street Gangs such as the Bloods and Crips and other infamous organised crime gangs from different ethnic and national origins across the globe adding a sense of authenticity, depth and diversity to the game. These would include the...




...and more! We'll even throw in a DeLorean to introduce a time travel element during the story mode so at one point in the game the Protagonist will come face to face with famous historical gangsters such as the infamous Prohibition era bootlegger Al "Scarface" Capone, Frank Lucas, The Kray Twins, and Pablo Escobar! The time travel element would add a sense of excitement and unpredictability to the game.






Woop-Woop That's Da Sound of Da Po-lice! 🚔


Throughout the game The Law of The Saga will be hot on the heels of our Protagonist. Starting off with state police, law enforcement bosses will gradually escalate as the game progresses. Remember that beautiful game called Grand Theft Auto and those "Wanted" stars? Yeah, like that. Police > SWAT > FBI > DEA > Interpol > CIA > Army. 

These guys will be out to bust the Protagonist and lead him away in cuffs, but there will also be rogue law enforcement officials too who will be out to waste the Protagonist... ☠ The Protagonist being "Busted" or "Wasted" is our little homage to GTA - one of our favourite games of all time! 





The art style we're envisioning for Drug Crush Saga is mainly inspired by the "Chibi" style - cute, cartoony, with a dash of manga and 'grittiness'. We want all character assets to be highly polished, 2D, with flat colours, clean outlines, and shading

We want the overall tone and theme of the game to have a consistent art style throughout. The concept art displayed on this page is our attempt to show you the vision of the art style we have in mind for this game - a style which would allow the user to enjoy and get back in touch with their inner-child. Other crime games tend to have more realistic and gritty art style - Drug Crush Saga would stand out. 

We envision the use of the cool, Chibi art style would also greatly help attraction to the game when launching Drug Crush Saga for the East Asian gaming markets such as China, Japan and South Korea where this particular art style is very popular.

The soundtrack of Drug Crush Saga would be critical in creating a game which would pull people in and keep them entertained by leveraging off some great in-game music. We're thinking crisp, clean, 16-bit chiptune music giving that awesome 90s retro feel.

Ideally, it would be great if we could incorporate licensed cover / renditions of well-known songs - I mean, can you imagine playing a match 3 drug crushing level with a chiptune rendition of Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit 🐇 playing in the background? Or during a getaway racing level when you're in a military helicopter being chased by the U.S Army and All Along The Watchtower comes on? We want you to imagine how the game would sound like when our Protagonist is being hounded by a Hells Angels Biker Gang on their Harleys and a chiptune rendition of Sweet Home Alabama starts playing... These renditions would be used for the Getaway Racing Levels and Match 3 Boss Battle Levels.

Most western match 3 games tend to use orchestral music. For Drug Crush Saga, we want to go for a more epic, energetic retro / electro / synth / rock / hip-hop feel. As you can appreciate, we truly want to make Drug Crush Saga an immersive experience and music would be a crucial part of the game. 




Since it deals with the theme of drugs - and we're not just talking about cannabis - we anticipate that Drug Crush Saga will be a PEGI 18 rated game. It will be aimed and marketed strictly for adults only. We envision the game to contain some written profanity and non-realistic cartoon violence.

Of course, the game will not encourage or glorify the use of illegal drugs, alcohol or tobacco to minors. As part of our social and corporate responsibility policy, we would want the game to come with plenty of warnings about the dangers associated with the use of drugs. 

We will not show any of the characters consuming any illegal drugs. We want the drug-assets to be shown only crushing purposes and selling to generate in-game currency. 





Almost 80% of the funds will go towards the actual development of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for Drug Crush Saga by an experienced independent development studio. It's estimated that a total of 2350 hours would be required on the MVP: 2350 x £20 (per hour rate) = £47,000





If we can smash through the £60,000 target that would be CRAZY! In this case, we can ensure that the Drug Crush Saga MVP has higher quality art, graphics, animation, assets and sounds, customisable skins, as well as ensuring localisation of the game in 15 different languages. We have 6 stretch goals...
