The shipping disruption caused by the pandemic continues to have follow-on effects. Pricing and delivery schedules remain highly volatile. We intend to deploy shipping options that minimize risk and expense for both ourselves and our backers. That means we cannot offer a shipping option during this campaign that will service everyone. We're frustrated by the situation, but the alternative is charging some customers $40 or more (not including VAT or import fees) on a $30 book for a delivery that may be delayed by weeks or months.
All shipping fees will be chargedseparately AFTER the campaign and during pledge management. The prices below are estimates, and our books are large and heavy. Actual shipping prices will be determined after production, and we're gearing up to send out the books. Also, if you add additional physicalcopies of the game to your order, your shipping cost may increase.
The funding from this campaign goes to physical book printing, item production costs, and, of course, shipping. The leftover funds ensure everyone, from the cover artist to the editors, are paid for their work. As stretch goals are met, the increased budget will allow for more advanced things, such as printing imagery on the end sheets and upgraded quality.
Typically, it takes 6-8 months to produce any book due to multiple variables, such as waiting on backer reviews and quality control at the printer. Here is the estimation of time:

We do our own fulfillment for maximum speed and consistency with our releases. At the printing plant, all books are shrink-wrapped to seal them before they are shipped in bulk. At the warehouse, all books are wrapped in bubble wrap before going into the shipping box, which should minimize any issues. I personally ship out all slipcases to ensure they are packed with extra care.
Hagen's Alley has a proven track record of getting books out to backers. Constantly improving and evolving, you can ensure that maximum effort will go into each release so that each book is of the highest quality.
