Donny Van Zandt

Donny Van Zandt is an American musician and audio engineer based in San Diego, California. He is known for his involvement in the local music scene, particularly through his project Levain Sound, which focuses on creating ambient and atmospheric soundscapes. Van Zandt has performed live, including a notable appearance at Modular San Diego, where he opened the event with a slow, atmospheric drone soundscape. 

In addition to his performances, Van Zandt has contributed to various music projects as an engineer. He was acknowledged for his work on the vinyl release of Systems Officer's album, with the band expressing gratitude for his contributions alongside others at The Vinyl Lab in Nashville. 

Van Zandt was also a member of the band Rogue Conjurer, serving as an organist. The band released a two-song tape titled "Of the Goddess / Crystal Mountain Lives," which showcased a psychedelic take on doom riffs and grooves. He has since been replaced by Trevor Shipley in the band. 

Through his various roles as a musician and engineer, Donny Van Zandt has made a notable impact on the San Diego music community, contributing to both live performances and recorded works.
