Artist Josh Wright is an Australian-American painter born in Miami Beach, Florida, and raised in Pasadena, California, and Sydney, Australia. Influenced by his artistic family—his mother a painter, his father a singer-songwriter, and his stepfather an actor—Wright's creative storytelling is shaped by nature and his vivid imagination as an only child.

His childhood was marked by a significant injury that required extensive recovery, including relearning to walk. This experience instilled a determination reflected in his “push a painting as far as it can go” mentality.
