Lou Schlesinger is a Mineral Process Engineer turned fiction writer. His short story Post-Traumatic MoonPie won the 2021 Thomas Wolfe Short Fiction contest and is one of a collection of stories he is writing centered around the fictional coal mining town of Coreville, WV. He is a finalist in the 2023 NYC Midnight Short Story Competition and currently writing a Young Adult Mystery/Thriller trilogy. He belongs to David Farland’s Apex Writers Group, the North Carolina Writer’s Network, and West Virginia Writers, Inc. He lives in Shelby, NC with his wife Christine, where they enjoy hiking, cycling, and remodeling their mid-1950s house.
