Ariana Trench: The Treasure Man's Cave will act as a nexus between fans of classic point-and-click adventure games, puzzle adventure games, and comic books for all ages. As you progress through this pirate-themed story, the characters will encounter obstacles in the form of unique and complex puzzles, riddles, and brain teasers, seamlessly integrated into the story, but take note that this is by no means an activity book. To add an extra layer of game feel to the comic, it will be illustrated in beautiful pixel art graphics. Some of the inspirations for this project came from video games series such as Monkey Island, and Professor Layton. The Van Ryder Games GNA book fans will also take interest in this comic book.
The story takes place in Libertalia, a hidden pirate colony on the island of Madagascar. A treasure-hunting expert, Ariana Trench, has been recruited by a shady pirate captain, Hector Azucar, who promises her a share of the treasure she must retrieve from the Treasure Man's cave. The Treasure Man was known for secretly poisoning people with Komodo Croc Venom and stealing their treasure while they were unconscious. In his overabundance of wealth, he felt the need to hide a majority of his treasure in a cave for safekeeping and constructed the world's most dangerous booby traps to ensure no one could steal his treasure.
