Their security forces operate in some of the most dangerous places on Earth.
Their research divisions investigate phenomena most people will never hear about.
Their tech shapes how much of the world's information flows.
Because when reality starts to unravel, panic is just as dangerous as the truth.
Of course, not everyone trusts them.
Some people believe Salien-Welf is hiding information.
Some think they're responsible for things getting this bad in the first place.
And some whisper that they've discovered things humanity was never meant to understand.
Officially, Salien-Welf denies all allegations.

Field Notes From a Broken World (and a Free Preview PDF)
What do you do if you encounter an eldritch being beyond all comprehension?
Well... you just might try to understand it as best you can, until you succumb to madness or worse.
One of our favorite pieces of Cthulhu Dreamt is how the T.R.A.C.E.s (Terrestrially Residing Abstract Cosmic Entity) you might encounter are documented. Throughout the books, you'll find sketches, annotations, field notes, and observations left behind by the people who encountered these creatures before you did. Some are clinical while others are outright desperate.
These are observations from survivors trying to understand things that often defy explanation. How does it move? What happens if it touches you? What happens if you see it? And what happens if it sees you first?
One of the visual goals for Cthulhu Dreamt was to make the world feel documented rather than described. We wanted the books to feel like recovered evidence. Sketches made in haste. Notes written in the margins. Reports assembled by people trying to make sense of an impossible situation. Instead of a traditional bestiary, we came up with a collection of warnings that SOMEONE should have paid attention to.
Like most things eldritch and beyond comprehension, you might not be able to defeat a T.R.A.C.E. through gunpower. You may have to think outside the box and use clues to figure out what makes them tick... and how you can turn it against them to escape with your life. We'll leave the rest of the discoveries for you to uncover!
Just remember: If a scientist took the time to sketch it, label it, and write several pages of notes about it... There's probably a reason.

What does travel look like in Cthulhu Dreamt?
Over the last few updates, we've talked about the music and some of the horrors waiting for you in the campaign. Today, we wanted to spend a little time talking about the game itself.
Cthulhu Dreamt uses an original d12 system built around narrative roleplaying, survival, travel, and player choices.
In a lot of RPGs, travel happens between adventures. In Cthulhu Dreamt, travel is PART of the adventure. You'll be scavenging for supplies, making camp, standing watch, and trying to survive a world that's becoming less familiar every day.
We've kept the game approachable, too. Learning Cthulhu Dreamt should feel more like learning a new video game than learning a new language. The experience and narrative are the focus.
We want players to make exciting decisions, discover strange equipment, overcome terrifying threats, and watch their characters grow throughout the campaign.
What role will you take on?
In Cthulhu Dreamt, as you travel, you and your party will take on different roles and complete associated tasks to determine how successfully you navigate challenges on your journey and recover from sanity loss and wounds.

We are less than two weeks away from launching Cthulu Dreamt - and we wanted to share one of the most unique aspects of the project!
Cthulu Dreamt Has Over 7 Hours of Original Music Written Specifically for the Campaign
Every encounter was written hand-in-hand with original music designed specifically for that part of the adventure. Throughout the books, you'll find QR codes that allow the Facilitator to instantly play the soundtrack written for that exact moment.
Some tracks are unsettling ambient soundscapes. Some are sweeping orchestral pieces. And some go HARD.
The soundtrack currently contains more than 7 hours of original music created to accompany the campaign, helping transform game night into something that feels a little more cinematic. The best part is that most of the items in this campaign are in our warehouse and ready to ship!

Moorland Scherzo is an Encounter designed to be played over the course of one to two sessions. What initially begins as a search for a missing person transforms into a terrifying fight for survival against a strange and aggressive species of sentient mycelia.
The Players will inhabit the roles of the townspeople of Hexworthy, a small hamlet in the Dartmoor National Park. Each person is a friend or relative of Marcus Beaples, the man whose disappearance is the impetus for the Encounter. As the party searches for Marcus, they’ll discover that he was investigating the troubling deaths of local farm animals, perpetrated by a mycelial organism that gains the ability to take over dead bodies.
