The IRON HORIZON project is making steady progress. We are currently in the digital prototype and testing phase, refining the mechanics to ensure the gameplay is smooth, strategic, and exciting. This game brings together a love for mechs and World War II, drawing inspiration from iconic vehicles and tanks of that era and transforming them into unique mechs.

IRON HORIZON is a skirmish wargame designed for 4 vs 4 or 6 vs 6 mech battles. The game stands out for its mix of strategy, resource management, and realism, featuring the following core elements:

Realistic Mech System
Each mech consists of three essential components:
- Structure: Absorbs initial damage and protects internal systems.
- Internal Systems: Essential mechanisms that keep the mech operational.
- Heat Threshold: A thermal limit that adds strategic depth to weapon management. Each weapon generates Thermal Points when fired, building heat over time. If a mech exceeds its heat threshold, it enters Overheat, triggering consequence tables that can impact its performance in combat.
Customizable Pilots
Players have access to a roster of pilots, each with unique skills and stats. This adds strategic depth and a personal touch, allowing players to tailor their mechs to their preferred playstyle.
Familiar Yet Deep Skirmish Mechanics
The game includes:
- Dice rolls to determine attacks and evasions.
- Line of Sight (LOS) and cover mechanics.
- Check tables for damage and overheating consequences.
