The Cryptid Creeks Tabletop RPG Expands!

Cryptid Creeks is a ttrpg Carved from Brindlewood (The Between) that combines the mystery, horror and coming-of-age genres to emulate media we love, such as The Goonies, Gravity Falls, Night in the Woods, Stranger Things, Lumberjanes, and Hilda.

In this RPG, you play a crew of River Scouts setting out to save Clawfoot—the place you call home. Guided by a benevolent cryptid called the Watcher, you will travel the waterways, track down Clues to dangerous Curses and break them before it’s too late! All the while, an eldritch figure known as the Peddler schemes from the shadows, willing you to fail, and for Clawfoot to fall.

Ripples is an anthology of 10 Curses to run with the core rules. Half are set in the 1960s and the rest take place in the present day. Our writers include: JC Darcy, Kat the Loremistress, Drakoniques, Becky Annison, Logan Timmins, Scriv the Bard, Meg Sunev, Steph Campbell, Chaotic, and Michael Low.

Tendrils are the solo rules for Cryptid Creeks co-designed by Matt Risby of The Bad Spot YouTube channel and podcast. Tendrils takes place a few years after the events of the core game. Shortly after your character arrives in Clawfoot to join the Oily Claws Motorcycle Club, they are confronted with the eldritch power spreading rapidly beneath Clawfoot.
