Bond will focus on the realities of running your creative practice as a business on the internet. We’ll cover everything from establishing a community to building a sustainable career using crowdfunding and community patronage. Let’s trade stories, learn from one another, and figure it out together.
Conference
The Bond conference will take place at the historic Gray Area Grand Theatre located in San Francisco on March 9th, 2018 to a limited audience. It’s a fun and versatile location in the heart of the Mission district close to all kinds of cool restaurants, bars, and small businesses.
We will be featuring an eclectic lineup of speakers who all have a unique perspective on building communities and embracing your passions. Featured speakers include Jamie Wilkinson (Kickstarter), Erica Baker (Patreon), Indhira Rojas (Anxy), Kat Blaque (vlogger & illustrator) and Austin Kleon (writer) with more to be announced on the official website in the coming weeks.

Our office hours will take place at the BackerKit headquarters located in San Francisco on March 10th, 2018 to a limited audience. Join the BackerKit team along with a variety of knowledgable experts and experienced independent creators for a day of intimate conversation and advice. Guests include Joel Bush (Amplifier), Karlee Esmailli (Blackbox), Nathan Peretic (Cotton Bureau), Michelle Sharp (Cotton Bureau), and Katie Lane (Work Made For Hire) with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
