CES 2018 is upon us meaning we need to get our minds ready for some truly awesome tech announcements. The show will take place in Las Vegas from January 9th-12th introducing us to the latest and greatest developments in technology kickstarting the trends for 2018 and beyond. After all, this is the show that helped launch the VCR, CD player, Microsoft’s X-Box, HDTV, and Augmented Reality just to name a few.
The past several years have proven crowdfunding creators can make great use of the conference whether it be to gain priceless exposure or to transition into their second stage of growth. There are countless crowdfunding projects out there continuing to grow past their campaign origins transforming into viable and sustainable businesses. Here at BackerKit, we’ve definitely seen this happen with projects such as GIR and Peak Design.
Crowdfunding at CES
Over 800 of the world’s most promising tech pioneers will be filling the Eureka Park Marketplace located on the lower level at the Sands. Many of these creators have gained success through crowdfunding and will be showing off and demoing their products. And this year, Kickstarter and Indiegogo will be in attendance further cementing the crowdfunding presence at CES.
Kickstarter has teamed with Avnet and Dragon Innovation to bring attendees the Hardware Studio located at Booth 50211 in Eureka Park, on the lower level at the Sands. They will be sharing manufacturing tips, and hosting live-stream chats making this space a great hub of activity for crowdfunding creators. They will also be joined by some of their favorite Kickstarter creators including Joto and Sisyphus to do live demos over the course of the show.
Indiegogo will also be in Eureka Park at booths 51225, 51033, and 51423, on the lower level of the Sands. You’ll be able to meet inspiring creators, gain expert crowdfunding advice, and experience some of the platform’s most successful products spanning Indiegogo’s 10-year history.
