Dontaye Ball, also known as Mr. Gumbo, is the chef-owner of Gumbo Social, a San Francisco-based pop-up restaurant specializing in gumbo and soul food since 2018. Besides getting great reviews from their guests, Gumbo Social has been featured in Forbes, the San Francisco Chronicle, and on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Now, Gumbo Social is opening its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in the heart of the Bayview in San Francisco. They plan to establish Gumbo Social as the premier place to get incredible gumbo in San Francisco.
